Chapter Thirty Eight

Wunmi rushed into her car from the house. Her phone rang in her purse and she picked up.

"Hello Tayo... Yes, I know... Come home from work early today... Hmm, I've got a surprise... Yeah, at least be at home by 2:00 pm... Yeah, I love you too." She ended the call and drove to the mall.

Wunmi had planned a big surprise for Tayo as it was his birthday. She checked her watch and saw that it was some minutes past one.

She groaned in frustration as time was running out and the traffic was really heavy. The cars moved slowly along the expressway. Her phone rang again.

"Hello Lara... Yes, but the traffic here is too much, I doubt if I'll make it before two... Thank you, what of Adesewa?... That's better, see ya." She ended the call.
