Wunmi and Tayo, two external waec candidates walked to their exam center after getting off the public bus. Wunmi remembered that she wanted to speak to Tayo, so she waited and held his arm.

"Tayo, please I need to talk to you, It is very important besides today might be the last day I'll see you."

Tayo frowned a bit and freed himself from her grip, "What do you want to say?"

"I'll tell you after the exams, on our way to the bus stop." Wunmi replied, the frown under her face threatening to reveal itself but she kept it hidden.

"I've heard you, let's go." He said.

They got to the examination center, being an external waec candidate, the two students went to the bathrooms to change into the school uniform, then they went in for their exams.

They were having their last exam, Agricultural Science. Both students were excemptionally brilliant in their studies, so they had no problem in getting a high score in the general examination.

After the exams, they went back to the diffrent bathrooms to change into their own clothes.

"We'll return the uniforms, Mr Yemi said we should give the principal and ask him for our I.d cards." Wunmi told Tayo.

Mr Yemi was one of the teachers in their school, also the person who registered them at the center. He always follows them to the school but couldn't make it because of an emergency.

"Okay." Tayo replied and dragged behind Wunmi.

They walked to the principal's office and waited for their turn to go in as students were going inside according to who registered them for the exams.

After a long wait, it was finally their turn, they dropped the uniforms in the basket and asked the principal for the I.d card.

"Tell Mr Yemi to call me, I'll send it to him after we talk." The principal answered, "Good luck." He added.

"Amen, Thank you sir and yes, we'll tell him." Wunmi replied.

"Goodbye sir." Tayo bent a little as a sign of respect and they both walked out of the school to the bus stop.

"You'll tell Mr Yemi." Tayo started. I'm not going to your area today, I'll be taking a different bus home."

Wunmi stopped on her track and faced him. "Why don't you want to take the same bus?" She asked, she was beginning to get confused with Tayo's new attitude.

Tayo touched her cheeks with the back of his hand. "It's cheaper and also faster to get to my house that way."

"Okay. The ride home is going to be so boring."

Tayo smiled, "Don't worry so much, just play the music I told you to download, it would feel like I was there." They continued walking.

Wunmi rolled her eyes. "Song?" She hissed. "Yes! Can I tell you what I wanted to say now? We're almost at the bus stop."

Tayo looked at her, his smiley face turned into a frown.

I know what you want to tell me, he thought to himself.

"No." He shook his head. "Tell me later, I'm not interested now."

"But today is the last day we might talk." Wunmi pouted.

"Then forget it, It's not like I actually care about whatever you have to say." Tayo turned his face to the other side. "That's the bus I'm taking, I've got to leave now. See you someday in the future." He pointed at the bus coming and walked away from Wunmi.

"Bye Bye." he bought his ticket and ran into the bus.

"Tayo, wait please. It’s important!" Wunmi called but Tayo didn’t answer, soon the bus started moving.

Tears formed in her eyes as she watched the bus leave, it might be the last time she'd ever see him, she blamed herself for not telling him how she felt earlier. Now, Tayo is gone taking a part of her heart with him.

Tayo, who sat at the back seat of the bus watched Wunmi as the bus moved. *I'm really sorry Wunmi, I know I’m sure about my feelings for you but I can’t allow you to tell me how you feel, it's better this way than to get hurt later, you would hate me if you find out the truth of what I did to you*, he thought to himself. He watched her, almost moved to tears till he was unable to see her again.

“So long, Love mi.”

No matter how much she tried to hold back the tears, Wunmi was unable to stop the tears from falling. She soon realized she was at the bus stop and people might be looking, she wasn’t in one K-drama that would make crying at a bus-stop so cute, besides, she won’t get a cute boy who would clean her tears so she had to do it herself.

She cleaned her face and went to get ticket for the bus. She paid for the ticket and entered the bus. After taking a seat next to a wndow she played the song Tayo asked her to download, the song was a romantic one, reminding her of whatever she was feeling. The feeling was worse, instead of the normal way she felt music, this made her feel sick down to her stomach. She stopped the song and opened a reading and writing app on her phone.

All of the books she wrote there were all inspired by Tayo but she didn’t know if she could continue writing the books. She checked the poetry, it was already having many reads. The only person she wanted to show the books wasn't there anymore, he took all the inspiration to write with him. She decided to delete the books which she did in less than two minutes, then she uninstalled the app.

"There's no more Tayo, Wunmi.” She reminded herself as she was having second thoughts on deleting the book.

*I damn hate this feeling, why did I ever allow myself to love a guy?* She thought to herself as she kept her phone in her school bag.

She rested her head on the window pane of the bus. The ride home was still very far and she still got to live.
