Ronan's POV

I woke up to my body reeling with some sense of satisfaction as curled against my side with her hand on my chest.

I felt a sense of some kind of peace.

Carefully, so as not to wake her, I extracted myself from the bed. Dressing quickly in the gloom, I allowed myself one last look. In sleep, the defiance was gone, the fire banked. She looked… mine. Truly mine.

The feeling lasted precisely until I closed the bedroom door behind me. The real world, with all its dangers and deceptions, was waiting.

My uncle was already in the main study, standing by the window as if he owned the view. He turned as I entered. I could feel his Alpha power pointing out how weak I was.

“Ronan. You look… rested,” Gideon said in a subtle voice

“Uncle,” I nodded, moving to the head of the table where maps and ledgers were spread. “Shall we begin? The northern timber yields are up fifteen percent this quarter. The Silvermane pack is challenging the border near the Black River, but their numbers ar

Lana's POVThe silence that followed Idris’s words was an absolute vacuum that sucked the air from the room. Twelve feral wolves. Set loose and Bastien was missing. My mind raced, a frantic animal in a cage of its own fear. Then, a cold, clear thought sliced through the panic.“Jessica,” I said.Ronan’s head snapped toward me, his eyes blazing. “What?”“The only stranger here. The one with the most to gain from chaos. She wants you unstable. She wants me gone. This does both.” The words tumbled out, logical and sharp. “She was ‘reviewing security’ yesterday. She knew about the silver door. Who else would have the access, the knowledge, and the motive?”Ronan stared at me as if I’d grown a second head. Then, a derisive, exhausted laugh escaped him. “You think Jessica, a hundred-and-twenty-pound she-wolf with no pack loyalty here, somehow overpowered my guards, stole keys, and orchestrated this? To what? Impress me? This is the work of a professional. This is an enemy attack.”“Or an in

  • Wanted By The Alpha And His Brothers   Chapter 43

Lana's POVRonan looked like the monster I have always known he was. His eyes glowed and it wasn't the moons reflection it was the monster he tries suppressing coming out. He was provoked by a betrayal I has even carried out yet and I was pinned not just by his body physically blocking me but this power coming from him.“I wasn’t going to run,” I lied, my voice a thin thread of sound. “I was scared. I just wanted to know if there was a way out if things went bad.”“Liar,” he breathed, the word a hot accusation against my lips. “You delete messages from my enemies. You plot exits. You flirt with my brother to punish me. You think I don’t see the game you’re playing?”“It’s not a game!” The words tore out of me, fueled by a terror that was quickly turning into rage. “You locked me up! You paraded Jessica in front of me! You treat me like a prisoner one minute and your greatest treasure the next! What am I supposed to do, Ronan? What is the correct move in the prison you’ve built for me?

  • Wanted By The Alpha And His Brothers   Chapter 42

Lana's POVI just hoped Ronan wouldn't notice the light from the phone as I read Gideon's message to me.The moon reveals all truths. Did he know about Ronan and Bastien? Did he know about the secret festering in my palm, the power I couldn't control? Find the silver door. A way out. A specific, planned escape route for the very moment everything would be at its most chaotic.I deleted the message and powered the phone off, my heart hammering against my ribs. I slid it back under the pillow, the plastic now feeling hot against my skin. Ronan shifted beside me, a low sigh escaping his lips in sleep. Even in unconsciousness, his arm was slung possessively over my waist.I spent the next day in a state of hyper-aware tension. Every glance, every whispered conversation between pack members felt loaded. The air itself tasted metallic, like the calm before a lightning strike. The full moon was tomorrow. My strategy was simple: be unbearable. If I was going to be a pawn, I would be an incon

  • Wanted By The Alpha And His Brothers   Chapter 41

Lana's POVThe words hung between us, like all of us. They were half-brothers. It made so much sense with all the aggression Ronan showed towards poor Bastien. Ronan seemed to blame Bastien for everything wrong that happened to him. He probably saw him as a reminder of what he doesn't what to remember. His parents only mistake. Ronan looked as shocked as I felt, his grey eyes wide with the weight of Bastien's words. He'd spoken them as a theory, a desperate attempt to understand Ronan's cruelty, but Ronan's reaction wasn't much of what I'd expected the way he'd gone utterly, terrifyingly still just confirmed it as truth.Ronan didn't deny it.He turned to me."Get inside," he commanded but I didn't move."Lana. Now." This time, with his alpha power.Bastien stepped slightly in front of me, a protective gesture that made Ronan look angry. "This changes nothing about how you've treated her, Ronan. It just explains the depth of your paranoia.""Stay out of this," Ronan snarled. "This is

  • Wanted By The Alpha And His Brothers   Chapter 40

Ronan's POV Those words weren't a challenge but a promise, a subtle threat of what Ronan owns and even Lana looked shocked at what he said. It felt like he just punched the air out of my lungs for a moment. I couldn't even process the nonsense coming out of his lips as I just stared at my brother, Mr rival since day one. My eyes kept moving from him to Lana who still looked shocked. They had an understanding. A plan. While I was drowning in the chaos of the bond, they had been quietly building a lifeboat for two to sail away to paradise. The betrayal was so absolute, so coldly delivered, that it short-circuited my higher reasoning. The beast took over. "You…" I breathed, the word a low rumble. "You've been planning this. All this time. Your training sessions, your whispered conversations… it was all leading to this. You were just waiting for your chance to steal what's mine." Bastien didn't deny it. He simply stood his ground, a silent confirmation that was more damning than any

  • Wanted By The Alpha And His Brothers   Chapter 39

Lana's POV The world didn't slow down. It didn't shatter into a million pieces. It just went very, very still. I saw his hands, the same ones that had been tangled in my hair moments ago, now resting on Jessica’s waist. I saw his lips, which had tasted of my rage and my tears, now pressed against hers. And I saw his eyes, open and looking directly at me over her shoulder. There was no shock in them. No guilt. Only a cold, challenging intensity. As our eyes met, his arms tightened around her, pulling her more against him, deepening the kiss for my benefit. It was a performance. A brutal, calculated move designed to wound. A strange, icy calm settled over me. The heat of our earlier passion, the confusion, the desperate hope that maybe there was something real beneath all the anger all ended in that moment. This was the truth. This was the man he was. A manipulator. A tyrant. A creature who saw love and loyalty as weapons to be wielded. I simply walked past the open doorway, my step
