“Where the hell have you been?” Owen’s voice is sharper than I’ve ever heard, and I wince slightly at the severity of it as I slowly, calmly close the door of my apartment. 

He’s waiting at the kitchen counter, perched on one of my black barstools, his arms crossed, brow furrowed. “You’ve been gone for three days, Thea! You didn’t even send me a single text!” 

It feels weird to hear the name Thea again, now that I know the truth. I pause, unsure of how to explain that Mount Olympus doesn’t have great service. Owen’s expression grows stormier by the second, his anger rapidly increasing. “Uh…” I manage, slowly approaching the counter. “Look, I’m sorry I didn’t text you. Stuff came up.”
