When I woke up I straight rushed to check on Laila. But she was already up and gone from her room. With her being next door I couldn’t sleep last night. I was thinking, fighting with myself and my carnal desires. I had to wrestle with my wolf in my mind for control as well. He was determined to mark and mate her at that moment. He was done waiting. But I had to stay back. I had to give her space. Our relationship was not in that stage yet. I snoozed off when the sun was up already.

I followed her scent and found her sitting on the kitchen island. My parent had an amused smile playing on their lips. They probably hoped for some action from our side… Goddess... I don’t wanna think about it. I turned to Laila.
