16 || A Note

"Granny wants what?" Shane asked when Lilian got silent. Lilian turned to Shane and then again behind him as she moved her hands away from Shane's shoulder and tried to take a step back but Shane's hold on her waist didn't let her.

"What happened?" Shane asked when he saw Lilian's shocked expression. The music also got finished getting everyone around to applaud for the people on the dance floor.

Shane also looked around and caught sight of Aiden.

Let's deal with this first and then I would talk to Lilian. Thinking this, he walked to him holding Lilian's hand.

Aiden also walked forward to reach them with different thoughts crossing his mind. Getting near, he reached out his hand with a file, "Sir, the file."

"You could just have left it at my place, Aiden. Anyways, thank you."

Mack told him to leave the file at Shane's place but for some reason, he didn't want to do it. He was just trying to avoid an encounter but he wasn't expecting this to face instead.

When Shane saw Aiden st
