"Don’t leave, Lilian. I will take care of the matter with your father. He won't be able to harm neither you nor Aiden." Though not intentionally, yet words were already out. So, Shane waited for Lilian to react at his words without trying to change his words.

Lilian stood dumbfounded. Shane's face showing uttered concern. She wasn’t sure if it was for her though. After all, they were always pretending and if not Shane was angry with her and wanted her to be gone as much as she knew.
