Chapter - 3:

Arvi pov:

Today I got up very late. I quickly got ready and went downstairs.

"Bye mamma" I said and started walking towards the front door.

"Where are you going without having your breakfast" mamma asked shouted from the kitchen .

"Mamma I'm already late, I will eat in the canteen" I said. Before I could go outside Bhai holded my arm and started dragging me to the dining hall.

"Please bhai, I will definitely eat my breakfast in canteen" I pleaded bhai.

"No" he said and took me to the dining hall. I made a puppy face but it didn't work.

"Sit" he ordered and made to sit on the chair.

"Hitler" I mumbled under my breath.

"Hey! I heard that" bhai said.

"it was intended for you to hear" I said scowling at him.

Mamma smacked my arm and said "when will you grow up"

"I'm already grown up mamma" I said smiling cheekily at her. She shook her head.

Mamma served my breakfast and I started eating. Bhabi is feeding breakfast for Adya.

"Arvi come home early today" Mamma said.

"Why mamma?" I asked quickly eating the breakfast.

"In Priya's haldi function I introduced you to vihaan uncle's family"

"Yes mamma, I remembered" I said.

"They invited us to their house for dinner tonight" Mamma said.

"But Mumma I didn't met neither vihaan uncle nor his family before and how papa and Vihaan uncle became friends" I asked as I haven't met them before.

" Your papa met vihaan uncle in a party in Delhi after that they became friends. You didn't met them because before they were staying in Delhi two months back only they shifted to Mumbai" Mumma said.

"K, I will come early today " I said and completed my breakfast and gave a hug to mamma.

I Started to the hospital. After reaching hospital, I directly went to my cabin and attended some cases.

After some time kushi came to my cabin.

"Hi Arvi"

"Hey kushi"

"Shall we go for the coffee?" kushi asked.

"Yes" I said. We went to canteen and after taking coffee, we sat in our favourite spot.

"So what's up" kushi asked.

"Noting much, today we are going for dinner to papa friend's house" I said.

"That's great" she said and we talked for some time and went to our cabins.

Evening I completed work quickly and went to my home.

When I entered home Adya was watching Tom and Jerry.

"Wow Adya Tom and Jerry" I said and started watching it along with Adya. out of all the cartoons I'm very fond of this one. God bless that creator.

"Arvi we don't have much time left, go to your room and get ready" Bhabhi said.

"Five minutes please bhabhi" I said pouting at her.

"K, only five minutes" bhabhi said and went away. Yayy! Five more minutes.

After five minutes mamma came and started scolding me.

"Arvi you are watching cartoon without getting ready. What to do with this girl" Mamma said scolding me.

"Yes ma I don't know what she will do in her in laws house and her future husband will be dumbfounded by her habits" bahbhi said and they both laughed.

"you both are pulling my leg, I will compliant to my papa" I said stomping my foot.

"you can compliant about us later but now get ready" mamma said.

"I'm going" I said grumpily.Went to my room and I came out of the shower.

Bhabhi is choosing an outfit for me to wear. She selected one outfit and gave it to me.

"Bhabhi you are the best" I said hugging her.

"I know" she said showing her imaginary collar. We both laughed at that.

Later I got ready, went downstairs and we all started to Malhotra's house.

We reached their house and their house is bigger than my house. It's not a house it's a mansion. Architecture of the house is so good. They invited all of us inside, we all went inside and sat in the living room.

Elders engaged in some conversation and I'm getting bored here. Mandira aunty saw this.

"Ishaan take Arvi and Adya to your room" she said and my face lit up like a 1000 volts bulb.

She understood my problem without telling her and I like her.

"K, Grand ma" he said and took us to his room.

"Shall we play some video game" I asked.

"You will also play video games" he asked.

"Yes, I like playing video games" I said.

"Wow, then we will play Xbox" he asked.

"Okay" I said.

With that we started playing, we don't know how much time is completed.

We all are so immersed in the game that we didn't notice someone entered the room until he called Ishaan.

"Ishaan come to the dining hall, all are waiting for you" he said.

Wait! I heard this voice somewhere and I turned around to see who it is.

I got the biggest shock. He is the same person that I bumped into in Priya's haldi function and he is vihan uncle's son. He is also seeing me with shock expression on his face. We both are mirroring the same expression.

Some people says that this world is so small and now I understood the meaning of it.

"K chacha, we are coming" Ishaan said bringing me out of my thoughts.

With that we all went to dining room.

While having dinner Aunty and asked Suni di asked me about my profession, my goals and my career plans. I enjoyed their company and vihaan uncle is also like my papa and he has such a nice family.

Throughout the dinner I felt someone's eyes on me.

Yes, you guessed it right he is none other than Karthik Malhotra. I don't know why he is observing my every move.

After bidding goodbye to them, we all started our home.

We reached home, I went to my room. After changing into my sleepwear and I laid down on the bed. Today's events started flashing in front of my eyes.

I smiled when I remembered his reaction when he saw me. I don't know when sleep embraced me.

Karthik Pov:

"Karthik where are u?" bhabhi asked.

"In the office bhabhi. Why?" I asked.

"Today papa friend's family coming to dinner. So, ma told me to ask where you are" bhabhi said.

Oh god! I completely forgot about it. It just slipped out of my mind. Mom will scold me if don't get there on time.

"Bhabhi tell mom that I will be there soon" I said.

"K. Come fast" bhabhi said and cut the call.

I hurriedly took my belongings, entered my car and reached my home in 15 minutes.

I made my way towards the living room. I greeted Vikrant uncle and his family members. We talked for some time. Later I excused myself and went into my room.

After freshen up I came downstairs.

"Karthik call Ishaan for dinner he is in his room" Mom said.

"K mom" I said and went towards his room.

When I entered Ishaan room he was playing with Adya and another person is also there I think she is Vikrant uncle's daughter.

She has long hair and it is covering her face in sideways so I'm unable to see her face. I haven't seen a girl playing games with children.

They are so immersed in the game. They haven't seen me entering into the room until I spoke.

"Ishaan come for dinner all are waiting for u" I said and by hearing my voice she turned around. I'm shocked to see her here. So she is Vikrant uncle's daughter. Her blue eyes widened in shock.

I was so engrossed in seeing her until Ishaan spoke.

We went to dining hall and started having dinner.

Mom and bhabhi started asking questions to her. I came to know that she is a doctor. I can't take my eyes off her and I don't know the reason why I'm observing her every now and then.

After bidding good bye and they started to their house.

We all retired to our rooms and I laid down on my bed. I started thinking about her it brought a smile on my face.

Suddenly someone knocked on my door and Mom came inside. She sat on my bed and I placed my head on her lap. She started caressing my hair.

"Karthik I want to discuss something with you" she said.

I know what she wants to discuss about. She want me to settle down in my life. I'm avoiding by giving some excuses but I can't escape now.

"Tell me mom" I said.

"We all liked Arvi and we want you to marry her" Mom said shocking me.

"Think about it and tell me about your decision tomorrow" Mom said.

I don't know anything about her except her name but whenever she is around me my heartbeat will raise. I don't know what this feeling is but I'm liking it.

Vikrant Singh Pov:

After Adya and Arvi left the room along with Ishaan I asked vihaan what he want to discuss.

"I really liked your daughter. I think she is the best choice for my son and I want to make her my daughter in law" he said.

"I have to discuss with Arvi" I said.

"If Karthik and Arvi are okay with this decision then only we will proceed further" he assured me.

"We will discuss this with Arvi tomorrow itself" I said.

I don't want to marry my princess but Karthik is the best person I can give Arvi as her life partner. Later the dinner went well.
