LUCAS POV

" High school is the worst I can't wait to graduate" my best friend Raphael complained as we walked to the cafeteria..

" Dude we literally have two months left, stop being a baby" my other best friend Nathan replied.

"Hey babe", my girlfriend and childhood friend Olivia said as she stood up and hugged me as we approached the table we usually sat on during lunch

"Hey darling" I replied as a big smiled stretched on my face while hugging her back

Raphael gave me a look as Olivia sat on my leg while I gave a look that said knock it off, he sighed and went back to his food

"So how you feeling Lu you're about to become Alpha in two months" Anna, Olivia's best friend said

" Honestly it's kinda scary knowing I'll be responsible for thousands of people"..I replied with a nervous laugh.

" Aww dude that's why you have me and Raphael as beta's we'll do this as a team remember", Nathan replied

" Yeah that's less scary", I say with sarcasm dripping out which evoked laughter from all round the table as Nathan pouted.

"Babe can I talk to you in private", Olivia whispered to me.

"Of course" I replied immediately

"Excuse us guys" I say as we stand up together and went to a empty classroom as I locked the door I noticed she had her head down

"Hey sweetheart what's wrong" I whisper as I cupped her face in my hands immediately.

She hugged me as she starts sobbing and saying incoherent words

I try my best to calm her down and when she does, I raise her head to see those beautiful hazel eyes still glistening with unshed tears, her beautiful lips in between her teeth as she bites them nervously.

I quickly prevent her lips from any more harm by freeing them and cleaning her eyes.

"What's wrong babe?"..

" Your coronation is in two months" she says quickly and I quickly understood what she meant

I hug her even tightly as I stroke her hair.

" Olivia we won't be separated, your my mate I know it, it won't be anyone else okay"...

She nods her head slowly

" I love you and I can never love anyone else as I love you okay"..

" I love you too" she says as she hugs me tightly.

I close my eyes as I pray to the moon goddess that I'm right cause I can't imagine myself with anyone apart from her, we've been friends for as long as I can remember and in middle school I found out we both liked each other and we've been dating ever since, a lot of people don't approve of our relationship but I don't really care.

Olivia has been here for me every time I needed someone I don't care about mates heck I don't believe in preserving yourself for them, my first everything was with Olivia and I know for sure that Olivia Kai is my mate.

I felt her relax finally and I let her go..

" Wanna ditch class and go for a run" I say as she flashes me a beautiful smile.

" Of course" she says as we pick our bags and leave the school premises.

We walked deep into the forests before dropping our bags and removing our clothes Olivia's face turns red as she looks at me before quickly shifting to her beautiful brown wolf it almost looked like orange as the sun hits it, I stop admiring as I turn into my large black wolf most alpha's have large wolves only few were lucky enough to be Lycans and I was one of them my deep onyx eyes showed it perfectly.

Olivia's wolf Nala rubs her head on my wolf's fur, who then licks her face she jumped around for a while before setting off.

We ran through the woods for almost am hour Nala was having a really hard time keeping up with Nyx my wolf, but he slowed down for her, we approached a stream and Nala immediately shifted back.

Olivia entered the water splashing Nyx in the process, I immediately changed back and we both started laughing as we played in the water until dusk.

" You think we should go back" Olivia says as we laid in the grass noe fully clothed.

" Yeah I don't want the pack to get worried and start looking for their future Alpha and Luna" I say and a huge smile graces her face.

"Of course not"..

I kissed Olivia good night as I dropped her at home before going to mine.

Immediately I reached home, I went to freshen up knowing it was almost dinner time.

" And where have you been", my dad Theo, current alpha of the Blue moon pack said as I sat down to have dinner.

" I went for a run with Olivia" I replied shrugging.

My mom sighs while my dad glares at me.

"Lucas you are aware that you are becoming alpha in two months right" my dad says his voice coming out harshly

" I'm aware".....I say with a shrug again.

" Then why are you running around with someone who isn't your mate".

"Olivia is my mate", I replied while trying to stay calm. Gosh I hate it when my parents talk of her like that and refuse to acknowledge our love.

" She isn't Lucas, you don't find your mate until you turn eighteen in two months time, I won't have my son the future Alpha of the blue moon pack running around with some girl have you heard the rumors going on, she isn't deserving of your attention until you're sure she's your mate".

And that's all it took for me to snap.

"Mate, mate,mate,mate that's all you ever talk about I only want Olivia and if she isn't my mate I don't want a mate".

My mom gasps as my dad looks at me with storm in his eyes as my twin brother stares at me with an unexplainable look.

" If I see you one more time with her before your coronation I will make sure she becomes a rogue and you know what happens to rogues", my dad says with an odd calmness as he stands up and leaves, mom sighs and went after dad, leaving me and my brother Arthur alone .

"What?"... I snapped as I stared at him.

He sighs and looks at me with that annoying calm face of his .

" I know you love Olivia Lucas but you of all people should know better than to defy dad at least until your coronation you can pray enough that's she's your mate"...he says as he patted me on my shoulder and left

I went back to my room annoyed as I fell asleep with a heavy heart.
