CHAPTER ELEVEN: A FRIEND TO ONE

The next day, Wednesday, he woke up late. He got to school feeling morose. He parked on the basketball court and scoffed at the sound of women swooning at him. He basked in their unwavering affection and scanned the crowd for the familiar-looking hairstyle, and still, he found nothing like it.
Where the fuck are you?
The school isn't that big either. Why was he finding it hard to find Selena? He checked with the teachers and learned that she'd taken the quizzes like a typical in attendance student does. He went to the library dozens of times, and there was still no sign of her.

ChamacastI found a kitten infested with botfly eggs yesterday. It had just rained, and the mother cat guided me to it. Man, it was gross. Thankfully, the eggs hadn't hatched when I found it. Had the eggs hatched, the kitten would be unsalvageable. You see, I tried to save a kitten that was being eaten alive by maggots before. I hope you're not eating while reading this. One thing I'll tell you, the experience had been in my nightmares for weeks. So then, I bathed the kitten of the mother cat that asked humbly for my assistance and made sure there was not one egg on its fur. Reunited, the mother cat inspected her kitten and gave me a simple "Meow" of thanks. They walked away casually, like they did not just subject me to a gruesome ordeal.

Trevino called fort for the Eye, Resmeia, as soon as he arrived back at his Fiefdom. He waited patiently for her in his throne room, answering his consort's inquiries about the summit in a passive tone. Resmeia strode inside the throne room, but he sent her flying across the place as soon as she had gone near enough. She landed in a dull thud on the marbled floor. "How dare you let yourself get spied on?!" his wrath sent a ripple of raw power throughout the room. "You careless fool!" She rose from the floor, clutching her throbbing chest. Selena and Zach arrived at the docks and quickly noticed the crowd milling around the place. Instead of kids the same age as her brother, they found grownup men holding makeshift weapons from bats to pipes. The abandoned storehouse near it is obviously where her brother's being kept. Their bloodshot eyes spelled substance abuse, and they didn't have to guess what substances they favored. Selena realized that Titan was obviously not the leader.
