MATE!

Rose’s POV:

THUD!

He fell to the ground helplessly. Anyone can see that the wolf was badly injured now but was still growling menacingly. I was feeling too bad for the poor animal much more than what I feel for my own uncles.

'Why does he have to go through all of this?

The four of them started moving towards the wolf slowly while pointing their gun towards him.

'Stop it! Please! Don't hurt him more. Let him die in peace!!!' I so badly wanted to scream but seeing the fiasco just now I didn't want to reveal my location anymore. I am not sure about my uncles being as harmless as I first thought.

But to my surprise, suddenly, the wolf got up and moved with the speed of light. There was no time to think as he started attacking them one by one.

He was beyond angry, it's like 'If I am going to die, I am going to take all of you with me!' He ripped David apart just like Uncle Pete.

He snatched the spear with his mouth from uncle Levi's hand and kicked William on the ground. He next tossed Uncle Levi to the tree and severely injured others too.

I kept my hands on my mouth to stop myself from screaming in fear. I looked at David’s unmoving body. He might be dead by his attack. My eyes became teary by only the sight of it.

Meanwhile, my coward Uncle William was helping my Uncle Pete up.

"Run, guys! Run! Retreat!" shouted Uncle Levi from the top of his lungs which sounded more like a scream in pain as he was also hurt severely.

Everyone heard him and started running in different directions holding on to each other.

Joseph who was hurt badly in the ribs was holding his upper abdomen with one hand and held David’s hand, who was lying on the ground unconscious, and started dragging him away from the wolf. The wolf practically let them go.

'Such cowards! Can't handle a single divine wolf.'

Once everyone was out of the clearing, the wolf finally fell on the ground. He must be exhausted and in so much pain after two bullets in his body. I couldn't help but feel extremely bad and somewhat guilty for not being able to stop my uncle and help the poor creature.

I don't know how and when my jelly legs started moving again without my permission and I found myself near the injured animal. The animal was howling lightly in pain. A tear fell down on my cheek and I don't know why I was feeling so bad for a deadly animal! But it felt like someone close to me got hurt.

Maybe it's because this wolf spared my life when could easily kill me as I was right in front of him. When he could take 6 healthy armed men at once then killing an unarmed girl must be a piece of cake for him but he chose kindness over cruelty and yet, he is here, lying half dead, screaming in pain.

Life is so unfair!

I could see it looking at me and then closing its eyes slowly. He still didn't attack me. I wiped my tears and my hand automatically went down to touch his head.

Then…

Just then….

Something I could never imagine in a million years happened…

The wolf changed…Its body metamorphosized.

It changed into a human!

And not just any human being! He changed into a hot human being in front of my own sinful eyes!! The hottest guy I have ever seen in my bloody life!

For a moment, I was stunned. I just stared at him but then…. I realized what I just witnessed!

I just saw a giant wolf changing into the most handsome guy from my own sinful eyes!

As soon as the realization hit, I screamed like a banshee!

“Monster!”

I screamed from the top of my lungs while pulling my hair.

Looking at the dark forest in my surroundings, the screams were getting worse and worse.

Like a doll on a music box, I span with the speed of light and was about to leave when something grabbed my feet… or I can say ‘someone’.

Gathering the non-existent courage in my body, I turned around while gulping my saliva.

I saw the man brutally injured by my own uncles was holding my leg.

A wave of electricity passed through my whole body. The shiver passed down to my spine.

I did the most logical thing I could do at the moment, I screamed… again!

“MONSTER! BEAST!”

My eyes were teary. I felt like it was my last day.

“LEAVE ME!”

I tried to pull my leg but he just tightened his grip around it. His grip was like an iron clasp. My eyes fell on his muscular arm.

What does he eat to have such powerful muscles? But the answer which popped up in my head didn’t make me happy one bit. ‘HUMANS!’

And I am going to be his next meal!

I jerked my leg to pull away from his grip but ended up falling on the ground on my back. I turned and tried to crawl away from him. I struggled to get away from him.

His grip on my leg loosened.

Just when I thought I could run away now, I felt his hand on my arm pulling me with a force that I fell on his chest.

I raised my head to look at the man lying on the ground under me while breathing heavily in fear.

Through the little moonlight shining above me, I glanced directly at him.

It was the first time I observed how celestial and manly his features were. I never saw anyone with such a perfectly angular face. His sharp chiseled jawline is to die for! His thin and perfect nose bridge made me roll my eyes.

I couldn’t believe that he had those curly eyelashes for which I go to the salon every month.

But the worse of them all, he had the most clear skin with a milky white complexion for which we girls are taking millions of treatments and skincare!

 It was like he was made with perfection.

The universe cannot be more unfair!

I scoffed in disbelief.

I didn’t know I was still staring at his majestic face when I suddenly met with the most gorgeous pair of royal blue eyes.

I wanted to scream again but rather, I just kept staring at those eyes.

For a moment, I felt comfort and warmth in my heart.

I stopped struggling to release my hand as well.

I was completely mesmerized by his charm.

Never in a million years, I thought, I would be bewitched by a brutally injured naked guy who was a wolf just a few minutes ago but here we are!

‘Wait! Naked! And under me???’ my eyes were already turning in saucers when I heard him whisper.

“MATE!” he said.

His voice was low and weak but I could hear it.

“What Mate?” I asked confusedly.

“You are mine! You are my mate!” He replied, again with a weak voice.

“Excuse me! Who the hell are you to claim me yours, Mister Handsome Naked guy?” I replied with a raised eyebrow all the fear was gone like a passing wind.

“Your mate!”

“What does that supposed to mean?” I asked again like he is the most stupid and delusional person I have met. He took a breath and said,

“I am the Werewolf King and you are my mate. You are mine now” he said it with such confidence that I was taken back.

“What the hell! Werewolf King? Are you drunk? Did they hit you on your head?” I asked now again trying to get away from the crazy guy.

“You saw my wolf form!” He replied nonchalantly like its actually normal and not a big deal.

Then I remembered everything that happened tonight and my eyes widened.

“So what?” I replied, trying my best to sound confident.

“You have to marry me, NOW!” He said in a demanding tone.

“WHAT?”
