Ch. 37 Jesse
Jesse's P.O.V.
*Trigger Warning*
"I'm going to the restroom. Wait for me here?" Liam whispered into my ear. I nodded, smiling like the love sick teen I am. I tried to fight it back, but I couldn't. "Don't move. I'll be right back."
He kissed the top of my head, before leaving the dance floor to use the bathroom. I closed my eyes, letting the music move me. I felt familiar strong arms wrap around me. I smiled, thinking Liam had returned already.
"I knew you'd be happy to see me." His voice both twisted my stomach and had my body excited. Damn bond. "Come with me, babe."
Damon pulled me into his shadow, emerging at the back corner of the club. His blue eyes stared hungrily at me. I swallowed hard, feeling terrified for the first time in my life. I know what he's thinking. He thinks he can remind me that I'm his.

Nova’s P.O.V.“Did they leave?” Liam asked, a slight pout around his lips.“Yeah. They got Jesse. Damon had gotten to her. Augustus’ P.O.V. I traveled to my room without a word the moment I saw the sun shine through the window. I had a damn pain in my back from trying to sleep beside broad shoulder Ares. That bed was too small, and I really should have just slept on the floor. Still, I woke up with a smile, because I hadn’t felt this close to my family in a while. I think mom is doing better now that she isn’t trying to decipher messages in the sky. She was turning into a mad woman, training us hard, scared of losing us. I think having us in this academy has shown her that we are okay without her. I grabbed a simple t-shirt and some jeans, and went to take a shower. “Augustus, right?” A small girl with white hair and neon blue eyes stopped me before I could reach my destination. Jesse’s P.O.V.I saw Augustus travel out quickly, leaving a sleepy Ares on the bed. Ares' hair was sprawled all around the pillow with his neck in a funny position. I am sure he’ll wake up with pain and a cranky attitude because of it. He was not a morning person, so I decided to leave as well, not wanting to deal with his morning bitterness. Ares P.O.V.I woke up expecting to see Auggie and Jesse here. I honestly thought they would wake me, but neither of them did, and neither of them were anywhere in sight. They had silently slipped out at some point and I had no idea when. Futures began to play out before my eyes, only exasperating my headache. I groaned, rubbing the crick in my neck as I sat up. Nova’s P.O.V.It’s cheating, but I totally used my healing fire to get rid of the pounding headache this morning. After a quick shower I was feeling refreshed and ready for the day. I dressed in a burgundy red sundress that hung around my shins. It was flowy and light, which was perfect for this summer heat. Although, what I was doing today, I had no idea. I didn’t really have any plans. I am, however, getting the nagging feeling that I am forgetting something, but I can’t quite place it.I felt pulled towards the willow tree. Nova’s P.O.V. “Hey, Nono. I didn’t know you were coming home this weekend.” Mom greeted me with my nickname. As a toddler I was always getting myself in trouble that mom would constantly have to tell me no when I would try to do something dangerous. She ended up just nicknaming me nono. I think it’s funny, and I’ve grown fond of the nickname. I have an amazing, caring, and kind mother. “Hey.
