CHAPTER 121

Genevieve's pov.

Sweat bands already formed around my face and were dripping down to my dress. I gulped down hard, concentrating on the rubble, something seemed to be moving inside it but we didn't know what it was.

Intuitively, I pushed Taloria behind me while Thorn and I stared with wide eyes, waiting for whatever or whoever that was in there to come out.

All of a sudden, a gecko emerged from the pile of rubble, making its way into the forest. We were instantly relieved, glad that it wasn't any kind of danger. We finally relaxed and sat down again, planning our journey to Thorn's pack.. or at least where it was supposed to be.
