Ashley’s POV

“--then good luck telling your Ashley about this childhood friend of yours that just happened to be the same name as him—good luck explaining how he wasn’t a substitute.”

As soon as I heard those words come out of Leviathan’s mouth, my heart dropped. My wholesome intention of surprising Trent in his office to grab dinner was totaled—I never thought it would be a disaster like this.
