Jackie let out a sigh as she cleaned the last little bit of the floors and shook her head. She loved her job, loved her bar, but damn did she hate how the crowd got to be at times, and the mess they made.

Jackie took another deep breath and turned as some people came up to the bar. She served them and once she was done, she cleaned up the area. She had to go back in and help Bobby that was her job, she thrived on being busy. And she knew she would be. She also knew that she had to bite her tongue because she was going to see a lot more. And she couldn’t, wouldn’t let Greg and his shit-talking intrude on her thoughts, she refused. So, with that, she walked back into the main bar, nodding at Buzz as he walked outside. She took to the side and watched as Bobby walked over, his hand resting gently on the small of her back. She smiled to herself at the care she saw in his eyes. “You okay, Jackie?” “Yeah, I’m good. Just...my own problems.” He frowned, obviously not happy with that response but she couldn’t help it, she couldn’t give him more, not now and not even later because he would think she was crazy and try to convince her she wasn’t.

Jackie sat back down in her chair and let out a whoosh of air. Even with her fuck ups with Greg, she wasn’t sure she had been called out. And oddly enough, she didn’t like it. She ran her hands over her face and turned her chair around, looking at the pictures on her wall. She had one with the kids that she loved and it always made her smile; this time wasn’t any different. She knew she was in the wrong, creating problems that weren’t really there based on past experiences. And at every turn, Bobby had shown her just how great and amazing he was. She had to face him, had to own up to her stupidness, no matter how hard this would be or how much she didn’t want to. If they wanted a true and honest chance at a relationship, she had to kick Greg out of her head and focus on Bobby, focus on how he made her feel, focus on the good, and forget the bad.
