“Any plans this weekend?” Jackie crossed her arms and looked at Greg, lifting a brow. She knew exactly what he was asking but she wasn’t going to give it to him.

“Clean my house and work. I’m not like you, Greg; I don’t need to be screwing all the time.” Greg rolled his eyes but he couldn’t come back with anything as the kids came bouncing down the stairs and launched themselves at him. It broke her heart to see how much they loved their dad and yet he made no real effort to be with them. Weekends like this were always so bittersweet for her, she loved that he did take them but it killed her when he brought them back upset. She hugged each one and gave them kisses. “Please be good for your dad. Have fun guys and I’ll see you Sunday at the bar.” She stood against the doorway until his car was out of sight.
