Life is getting better

On the following day, Nasha was seen sitting with Annabel who informed her about a vacancy in a bookstore where she could take a part job.

“Nasha, the bookstore has a vacancy and I think that you would like to take a part-time job there. “ Annabel said convincingly.

Then Nasha excitedly snapped “Oh really? I’ll be glad to apply. I’ll go check it out tomorrow. Thanks a bunch, bestie”.

Annabel smilingly accepted the appreciation with nods then proceeded to enquire how things were going at the University of Cambridge.

But the presence of Richardson interrupted her talks. Annabel was the first to see him as Nasha didn’t take notice of him until he stood very close to her.

When Nasha observed his presence, she hastily stood up, carried her bag, and attempted to walk away. Then Richardson tried to stop her but she shoves him off and ran out of the place.

“Nasha, Please, wait. Please, let me talk to you. Please… I’ve been hurting badly. Please, wait… “ Richardson cried out.

Annabel, having known Nasha's personality, told Richardson not to waste his time trying to talk to Nasha, cos she would never going to listen to him.

“Hey Richardson, I don’t mean to disrespect you but you have to give Nasha some space to heal.”

Annabel hastily took her bag and dashed off to her apartment, leaving Richardson standing lonely at the spot like a solitary reaper.

On the next day, Nasha and Annabel were seen at the bookstore, talking about the previous incident before they were interrupted by Star who brought good news to Nasha.

“Hey Nasha, guess what?” Star said smilingly.

Nasha turned to Annabel as they briefly communicated with their eyes, then she later turned to Star smilingly, and requested that he share the good news.

“Star, I'm not too good with guesses, please, tell me what is it. “ Nasha replied pleadingly to Star.

Star smiled as he peeked at their faces trying to study how much their patient could be with suspense.

“Ok, ladies. Nasha, I’ve got a good apartment for you and I guess that you will like it”. Star said.

Nasha’s jaw dropped as she found it difficult to believe that what she heard was real and not a kinda fantasy.

And as she was still in shock, Annabel questioned Star further about what he just said.

“ So, tell me, are you sure of what you just said? “ Then Star nodded, and at that point, Nasha jumped up and screamed excitedly as she proceeded to hug Star.

“Star, thank you very much. You are a great friend. Gosh!” Nasha declared.

Star smiled as he became proud like a peacock.

“Come on, ladies, let’s go see the apartment. “ Star said.

Nasha and Annabel echo “yes” in one voice. Then they burst out into laughter.

Star smilingly went before them, while the ladies walked behind him. When they got to the apartment, the view was everything that Nasha had wished for.

The spaciousness of the apartment made her wonder how Star could know her kinda taste, considering that it hasn’t been long since they met.

However, she appreciated him exceedingly and Annabel did join to appreciate Star as well.

Nasha hastily moved her things from Annabel’s apartment to hers'. Then she decided to host Star and Annabel for being by her side. And as they were still in the apartment having chitchat, an errand company through a man, brought a bunch of roses to Nasha’s apartment.

The errand man pressed the door button, and it sent a signal to Nasha that someone was at her door. Then she hastily excused herself from their midst and went to know who the caller was.

When she opened the door, she found a man standing, smiling and having flowers. And before she could interrogate the man, he quickly introduced himself as he offered her the flowers with a parcel attached to them.

Nasha collected it and wave him off as she returned to Annabel and Star.

“Who was that?” Annabel asked.

“It’s Richardson. He sent flowers through the errands company. But you can have the flowers. I don’t need them”.

Nasha replied as she handed the flowers to Annabel.

“Is Richardson giving you any problem?” Star queried.

“No, he ain’t”. Nasha replied.

Star nodded then hurriedly excused himself to go sort out something very paramount.

“Please, guys. I’m sorry but I have something to sort out in my apartment. Hope you don’t mind if I’m excused. “

“No, no. Not at all. You could go ahead, dear” Nasha replied with a smile.

Annabel on the other hand, left shortly to her apartment, leaving Nasha all alone in the room.

Then in the night, an incessant noise woke Nasha up from sleep. She staggeringly stood up from the bed and traced where the noise was coming from.

And as she walked from window to window, she discovered that it was coming from the next door. Then she muttered “Why could this goddamn Vincent be a nuisance in this apartment. No, no. I won’t take this. I’ll file a suit against him tomorrow! Gosh! “

Nasha returned to her bed but as the noise persisted, she found it difficult to fall asleep again.

Then on the next morning, she furiously dashed off to meet with Annabel and Star and explained the incident that happened the last night.

“Look guys, I’m very exhausted. I can’t believe that I’m already having a headache in that apartment. Can you imagine one moron disturbing my peace with his loud music? I’m gonna sue him, I promise! “

Nasha voiced as she fumed with anger.

“You have to calm down, Nasha. We will sort it out, ok.” Annabel said.

“Nasha, I’m very sorry about that. But are you sure you can handle this? If you need me to fix it, I’ll”. Star said frowningly.

“You don’t have to bother yourself about that, Star. I’ll fix this”. Nasha replied as she hastily wave them off, and rushed to the library to get material for her assignments.
