As time went by, the nervousness disappeared in my chest. I have nothing else to feel but the great joy. We are all tired of just going through this night. I was sure Dad was proud of me.

I excused myself after the eighteen, no, nineteen roses dance. I will change clothes for our surprise number.

As Shawn promised, he never left me. He drove me back to the dressing room since it was a bit far from the beachfront.

"Are you sure it's okay for you to wait for me here outside?" I asked him when he stopped right in front of the door of the dressing room. "I'll change in the bathroom."

He smiled. "No, it's okay, Raine. I'll just wait for you here."

"Okay." I smiled. I finally went inside.
