Lionel was taken aback, but he didn't question Christian. Over the phone, he simply said, "Got it, Mr. Lane."

Talia, on the other hand, was sitting on the edge of the flowerbed, mortified as she watched Henry take off her shoe and massage her ankle. She leaned forward to try and get him to his feet, saying, "You don't need to do that, Henry. I mean, the hospital is just around the corner, so I'll be fine once I apply some ointment to it."

Henry raised his head and happened to meet her gaze. They were so close that it seemed as though they were about to kiss.

Christian happened to witness that scene. He hung up on Lionel, turned on his heel, and walked into the private room. He had just entered when Julian and Nancy stood to greet him, but he wore a grim expression and stayed silent, which spoke volumes about his foul mood.
