Chapter 29: The Consequences

"Who did this!" Mariano was definitely angry, hearing the sudden news about Thadeus and Martha's connection to the black market. They even gathered some footage as well as copies of contracts that proves that a transaction indeed happened. 

The room was humid yet cold, it is evident the members of the family are uncomfortable with the situation. Even Erwin, who knows exactly what is happening, can also feel their faces being tense. 

Thadeus swallowed his dried saliva, awaiting the verdict of his father. It was only a matter of time before the police came knocking at their door. He was shaking as if he realized how bad his situation was. 

His father might not hesitate to kill him this time.
