SERAPHINA

“Why don’t you shift into your wolf?”

For a beat, my limbs paralyzed. How did he know I had not shifted even once? Had he been watching me? First he had already noticed that I had been hiding my scent and now he found out I was avoiding shifting. My throat squeezed shut. He had been suspicious of me. Panic flared hot in my chest, but I forced my face into a mask of defiance.

“I don’t need to shift to take you down,” I bit out, jerking my wrist free and stepping back.

  • When The Moon Hides Her Crown   321. THE END

THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEW The sky erupted in a burst of color as fireworks lit up the night, their sparkling trails weaving through the dark expanse above the castle."Wow!" Below, in the open Grand Hall, gasps of admiration filled the air as guests couldn’t tear their eyes from the colorful evening sky. The wedding of the Lycan King and the Alpha Queen exceeded all expectations. The guest list was a who's who of powerful supernatural beings not just werewolves and lycans, but the Vampire King, the Wizard Lord, members of the Seelie Court, and many others mingled. Yet, despite the impressive assembly, all eyes were drawn to two figures: the King of Curse, whose existence had been unknown until now, and the Devil Emperor, the Phantom who had finally revealed himself to the world.Sitting casually at the bar, the two men exchanged occasional words, leaving everyone around them puzzled and on edge. How had these two met? And more importantly, how were they connected to Alpha Queen Sera

THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEWThe lycan kingdom buzzed with joy and excitement as the Lycan King’s castle shimmered like a newlywed bride. The arrangements were complete, the feast for the evening wedding was being prepared, and Mace had just brought the final suit for Ronan to wear. However, as soon as he entered the Lycan King’s bedroom, the air felt tight with tension.Ronan sat with his legs crossed on the sofa, a wine glass tightly gripped in his hand. “They say the bride and groom can’t meet before the wedding. Can you believe that?”Finn and Asher, sitting across from him on separate sofas, stared at him in silence, listening to his frustration seriously.“Who says that?” Asher finally ask

  • When The Moon Hides Her Crown   319. A DRUNKEN BACHELORETTE

THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEWSeeing Grace so happy, Seraphina couldn’t help but remember the day Grace had woken up after a month in the hospital. She had barely survived, and when her eyes finally opened, the first thing she felt was overwhelming sorrow upon hearing about Alpha Gideon’s death. It had been a heavy blow, but it was Alpha Jude, now fully sane, who had been there for her. His presence, his care, had become the medicine she needed to heal. Slowly, Grace had begun to let go of the pain, accepting the harsh reality, and slowly found her way back to living again. The room was filled with laughter, music, and the sound of clinking glasses as the two women reveled in the freedom of the moment.Later that night, Jude passed by their room and was blown away by the girls’ wild laughter behind th

  • When The Moon Hides Her Crown   317. WHERE IS THE QUEEN?

THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEW Felix stood in the hallway, watching the couple leave, and chuckled softly to himself. “Young couples are really cute,” he muttered under his breath. But then, his gaze shifted to Austin, who stood beside him with a bored expression. “What’s wrong?”“Cute couples annoy me,” Austin groaned.Spencer, standing on the other side of Felix, murmured, “You stole the words right from my mouth. Just watching those cute couples makes my skin crawl.”Felix glanced between the two of them, raising an eyebrow. “How old are you two, if I may ask?”“Twenty-six,” Austin replied.“Twenty-four,” Spencer added.Felix blinked in surprise. “And your soulmates? Never had a girlfriend?”“In high school,” Spencer answered nonchalantly.“Too busy for one,” Austin mumbled, shrugging.Felix forced a tight smile. “I see.” With that, he resumed walking.Austin and Spencer exchanged a look, frowning at Felix’s reaction as the old wizard walked ahead.Austin growled, “Hey, old man, what

  • When The Moon Hides Her Crown   316. A PLEASANT CHANGE

THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEW Sitting by Alpha Gideon’s grave, Alpha Hugo, rested with a bottle of wine in hand. The grave was blanketed in a sea of flowers, covering every inch of the headstone. “Man, you lived in a way that made thousands envious, and not even in death have you stopped making them jealous,” Hugo chuckled, clinking his glass against the grave. “I see you were waiting for me, though I’m two months late,” he added, his smile softening as he spoke to his late friend. When Alpha Hugo awoke from his coma, his first instinct was to bring his best friend his favorite wine, not the tears Gideon had always expected. Hugo sighed deeply, murmuring, “The air in the werewolf kingdom has shifted, Gideon. It’s a pleasant change. The realm is breathing again, blooming, rising.” He glanced at the distant building that seemed to disappear into the sky, finally completed. “We have an Alpha Queen now,” Hugo whispered, a proud smile forming. “The true ruler of the realm.” A sharp
