Chapter 2: Gain Favor Through Sympathy

After obediently doing all her task on the orphanage, she went back to her room with the excuse of studying.

She found out that the Female Protagonist was a scholar who was sponsored by some wealthy people that is why she was able to attend school. However, the Director and other staffs in the orphanage secretly abusing her verbally and let her do chores around the place with an excuse of being one of the eldest here. Since she was one of the most intelligent child here, they only mocked here— afraid of being found out.

In the original novel, when the Jin Family found her, she was somewhat distant towards her family due to the bad attitude of the orphanage towards her. It also added the reason why her family didn't like her because she isn't like Jin Xiu Ran who was 'always' sensible, obedient and cute.

As for her plan, she didn't want to do that. She was planning to gain their favor, she will poke their conscience and guilt to sympathize her.

If that Jin Xiu Ran was acting as a white lotus, then she'll act as a green tea bitch.

She didn't want to face those numerous dramatic acts with her, rather, she will find a way to chase her out as soon as possible.

She won't let herself stay in the dark. She will find a way to trap her and let her feel what does truly an outsider meant.

Anyway, she was the female protagonist. She has the halo and surely, heavens will dote on her.

She remembered that in their up-coming year of age, Jin Xiu Ran schemed against her through making Xiu Ran drink an aphrodisiac. Xiu Ran acted like she gave her that medicine which result for her to be 'almost' sexual harassed by a man on that party. And when everyone insulted Xiu Ran for being a slut, her friends acted like they saw her— Liu Ri— who gave the drink itself.

It was said that it was Liu Ri who schemed towards Xiu Ran so her reputation would be ruined. After that, everyone sympathize Xiu Ran meanwhile she was being mocked as a scheming sister who wants to eagerly wants to sucked up in the higher society.

As for how will she start her plan, according to the timeline of the novel, this day was the first chapter. In the novel, Liu Ri was just waiting outside for her family to fetch her. Unfortunately, it was just the family driver that was why she doesn't have a good impression towards them— thinking that she's not important to them since they weren't here to welcome her.

She cluck her tongue inside her mouth and an idea flash on her mind. She immediately grab her left arm tightly as possible until a bruise was formed on it.

She winced in pain but she discarded it off and hid it inside her longsleeve shirt.

Then the door was abruptly open.

"Liu Ri! The Director wants you to come on his office now!"

Then she close the door with a loud slam without waiting for her answer.

She sneer. Once when she'll get out from this place, she won't let her family give them a single penny!

She went to the office after that. This day, the Butler from the Jin Family came and announce that she was the long lost daughter of the Jin Family who was rank first of the wealthiest family in this City N.

She remembered that her fiance Zhao Chen Su was the heir of the Zhao Family which was ranked third in the Capital. The novel didn't mention what kind of family was the first in the Capital but it was surnamed as Mo. They were hardly mentioned in the novel as they were mysterious and they weren't part of the story.

However, in this life, she will make a way to befriend their family as a background. When the Jin and Zhao unite, their power became stronger as they almost par with the second family in the Capital in terms of being the wealthiest.

If she'll succeed on having connection with the Mo Family and the Su Family which was the second, then she can easily erase Jin Xiu Ran on her way.

She arrange her clothes first to look presentable and knock on the door.

"Come in." She heard the Director's voice.

When she open the door, she was expecting the Butler of Jin but to her astonishment, what was infront of her was a three handsome looking male leads from the novels that she onced read.

And seeing their faces who was the somewhat the same as hers— having a pure jet black hair and a pair of blue eyes— she already knew who they are.

The three sons of the Jin Family! Her biological brothers!

But . . . why are they here instead of the Butler? Anyway, that was more fine then!

She compose herself and walk towards the table of the Director.

She felt their gazes from them but she feigned ignorance. However, on her mind, she was grinning as widely as she could. The situation was even more good! Aiye, she was really favored by the heavens.

"Riri," She almost wince in disgust as she heard the gentleness of the Director's tone. This was him infront of the guess but behind of it, he was secretly corrupting some money and one of the people who abuse her verbally.

"You're probably wondering why I called you here but I have a pleasant news for you," He was smiling widely and motioned the three men on the side.

"Riri, they are your real family."

She feigned a surprise expression on her face and look at them.

The man who seems the eldest stood up and smile at her.

"Riri, we are your biological brothers. We are here to fetch you and meet our parents."

She didn't answer them. She has to maintain a resistant attitude towards them to manipulate the situation.

"Riri," the second stood up too and went to her then directly hold her hand. She was somewhat stunned when she felt his hand slightly trembling.

"Riri, I'm your second brother." the man was smiling eagerly at her and she can saw the happiness on his eyes.

Wait!

It was then that she realize the peculiarity of the situation.

Did this part happened in the novel? No!

Why are they affectionate towards her even if this was the first time that they met each other?!

Where was the distant brothers that she was waiting?!

Did the story twisted more than she expected?!
