Chapter Eighteen

A week after Suzanne and the others left, Beatrice was still missing Suzanne in her heart. She had known Suzanne only for a few days but she had connected with her beyond how she had ever done with any female before. She was looking forward to when Suzanne would come to visit her again. She wanted more of the times they had shared when Suzanne had been here.

As for going to visit her family in Chester, that was another problem on its own. They would expect her to know the places and recognize the people and if she did not, they would become suspicious of her especially Sarah with her watchful eyes like that of a hawk. Since she wanted to raise no suspicions, all she could do was to remain here and wait for them to visit. She would have to come up with an excuse anytime they wanted her to visit them in Chester.

Alexander had understood her sad aura following the departure of her siblings from Ludlow. He had understood that she had seen in Suzanne what she had never seen in anyone else
