09| CAUGHT IN THE ACT

   I staggered to the living room devastated. Some jerk just burned my night. I saw dad with a lady talking and well... laughing a bit. And she was touching him, while pretending to dust something off his shirt. 

" Hi Riley." Dad said and hugged me.

" Hi Dad." I said and turned to look at the lady.

" Who's she?" I whispered.

" Ohh.. Helen, this is my daughter Riley, Riley, meet Helen." dad introduced.

" Hey Riley." she said and smiled. I didn't smile back. 

" Are you my dad's girlfriend?" I asked and she frowned a bit, looking at my dad.

" Okay honey, you're just coming back from a dance and you need to get some sleep for tomorrow's class." Dad said holding my arm.

" I'm not sleepy." I said removing my dad's hand and turned to look at Helen.

" Look, my dad's married and not divorced, he loves his wife and they are happy together. Just felt like dropping the message." I said
