Just then a man dressed in a similar jumpsuit and a metal hat approached them. He couldn’t contain his excitement at seeing Jill and she was the same when she saw him. Once again Jill was addressed as the queen of the world. A title they had all heard before but one that Jill herself had never responded to.
The man's name was Christopher and he was the one in charge of the factory. He had so many questions for Jill but she told him they were due to start work in the factory. Christopher knew exactly what was going on. Everyone in Tech Town did. You couldn’t hide anything from these people. He wasn’t sure about the piece of the box that they were looking for though but he promised to help
It had been almost 2 weeks since they arrived and the feeling of a normal life began to settle in for everyone, even Noah. The metal apartment they all shared became cosy and in some way without even realising it they had become a family. Every day they went to work and checked on the progress for freeing Cassidy. They would do everything together and the time was flying by.One day they were eating their lunch in the work cafeteria peacefully as usual until the manager came racing in. He was slamming doors as he ran and apologising to Brian as he did so. He had big news for Jill and she jumped out of her seat thinking it was about Cassidy but it wasn’t.
Jill awoke with a start sweating profusely. She had been keeping it from the others but she was just as affected by everything that they had been through. It was not the world inside the box or even the adventures that they had been through that gave her nightmares. It was at first the thought of how Cassidy was locked in her own mind watching her body do as Logan commands. After a few days those nightmares turned into her own father being in the same position as Cassidy. Wren tried to apologise for almost killing her father but she told him he never had anything to apologise for. In fact in a strange and surreal way she was actually glad. If he didn’t do what he did then she would never have k
As Noah went to grab hold of one of the transport options they instantly disappeared leaving behind a message that read: “Placed in Inventory”. Noah was distraught as he was looking forward to trying them out. Christopher gave Jill the blaster and told her to be as accurate as possible. This was their one and only chance to save Cassidy. After a short but tearful goodbye they were transported to a strange place.Jill didn’t recognise it as anywhere she had previously seen and she was always with Charles when new worlds would be created. The space was black and lifeless like an empty void. Jill, Noah, Dylan and Wren were sitting there unable to touch anything and the only thing they could
“Someone needs to explain what is going on to me right now!!” Charles yelled as he looked around at all the chaos around him.“We need help. I’ll explain later but Noah’s dying and we really need medical help.” Dylan said looking distraught.Charles ordered the guards to get everyone the medical bay in the castle and to bring all doctors there at once. He held one guard back and told him to send the juggernauts to the castle as well.
“After I had chosen to build a world for myself to feel home in, Jill helped me reprogram myself. The very core of my data would become the endless power supply for this world. As I live, this world lives.” Charles explained.“Normally cores are created for each person. They are too weak on their own to sustain anymore than that. Since Charles has such a large core, it's possible to add Jill's data to it. My sister can come back.” Coral said.“Then what are we waiting for. I can’t do a lot while Noah’s in surgery
The juggernauts opened the surgery doors revealing a blood soaked room and a newly healed Noah lying still unconscious on the operating table. After wheeling him out and leaving him in the care of the castle's doctors they approached a troubled Charles with results.“I can see this is not a good time to talk but the job is done. The boy is mostly human as you wished for my king. We will get a report typed up for you immediately.” one of the juggernauts said.“Thank you once again for all your help. If there is ever any way I can help yo
“Did I miss much?” Noah asked, still weak from the surgery.“I'll fill you in later. You don’t have to worry about anything for now.” Dylan smiled.Charles thought long and hard about what could be done as he stood at a balcony just outside his library. It was from this point in the castle that offered the best views of the world he loved.Standing and looking down at his
Firstly, I would like to thank everyone who has read and enjoyed this novel so far. This really does mean a lot to me and I'm so glad I've been able to write a new chapter every day. I've been scammed by fake publishers before which has made it difficult to write so being able to write a new chapter every day is truly a miracle for me. As for my apologies, I would like to start with there being no chapter tonight and possibly not for the rest of the week. I had a slight cold over last weekend which has just gotten so much worse. I'm glad it isn't covid but it I do need a lot of rest and being able to see is a bit difficult at the minute so please excuse any spelling mistakes due to that. As soon as I am better, I will get right back to typing new chapters and hopefully being back on doing a new chapter a day. I hope everyone can understand the need for me to delay uploading. It is especially frustrating for me as I was able to writ
