Chapter 18: Nail or Hail?
It had been almost 2 weeks since they arrived and the feeling of a normal life began to settle in for everyone, even Noah. The metal apartment they all shared became cosy and in some way without even realising it they had become a family. Every day they went to work and checked on the progress for freeing Cassidy. They would do everything together and the time was flying by.
One day they were eating their lunch in the work cafeteria peacefully as usual until the manager came racing in. He was slamming doors as he ran and apologising to Brian as he did so. He had big news for Jill and she jumped out of her seat thinking it was about Cassidy but it wasn’t.

Firstly, I would like to thank everyone who has read and enjoyed this novel so far. This really does mean a lot to me and I'm so glad I've been able to write a new chapter every day. I've been scammed by fake publishers before which has made it difficult to write so being able to write a new chapter every day is truly a miracle for me. As for my apologies, I would like to start with there being no chapter tonight and possibly not for the rest of the week. I had a slight cold over last weekend which has just gotten so much worse. I'm glad it isn't covid but it I do need a lot of rest and being able to see is a bit difficult at the minute so please excuse any spelling mistakes due to that. As soon as I am better, I will get right back to typing new chapters and hopefully being back on doing a new chapter a day. I hope everyone can understand the need for me to delay uploading. Wren was not happy about visiting Tech Town again in the slightest but of course he couldn’t admit that to Charles. The plan had been made and this was a chance to end Logan once and for all. There was no room for error or personal emotion to come into it.
