Fear..and Excitement. Is There A Difference?
YavonneYavonne had never been so satisfied with herself. Not only did she get his attention, but she peaked some other interests as well. The way he wore his expressions. she saw his lust for her displayed in his amazing eyes, and his member reacted just as quickly as well. The way he looked at her invoked two emotions which clashed together to soak her panties with equal vigor. She did, in some way fear him. any 17-year-old boy who had that much confidence should be feared, but matched alongside the fear was excitement. He wasn't like most boys their age, or even the older men who had wanted her, he didn't clumsily attempt to flirt or blush, he was in no way apologetic. Somehow..he still even looked mad while his eyes roamed down her then back up. She didn't want to say anything, they didn't need to exchange names or make plans, after all she may not be here tomorrow.
Instead, she walked off, matching the pace of the crowd, and stopped in a doorway to an empty classroom to listen in hopes of hearing a name. sadly, she couldn't catch anything over the noise of students clomping past like a heard of elephants, so she abandoned any further pursuit for the day, but the sense of accomplishment lasted, and left her smiling all day. Unfortunately, smiling apparently made her look all the more approachable, and that’s when she started to wonder if maybe her charms were wearing off?
She lost herself in memory trying to pin more strength. She was smiling as she bounced from the back doors of the school, Giddy with excitement. night swims had always been one of her favorite things to do. The moon and the water soaking into her bare skin, the silence and absence of the mechanical world, it all felt so intimate, so raw yet somehow still tender.
She was lost in thought when she felt eyes on her, she paused to look around, and to her delight realized it was him. She couldn't see his face from this distance, but he was quickly slowing down in his big grey truck, another boy in the passenger’s seat. Oh, she had gotten his attention. with another come get me smile she turned to go, hoping to leave him in the same confusion. she didn't look back again until she was rounding the path that led to sidewalk, well away from the main road he had been on. Then the shock settled in. Her charms had to be wearing down. Not only were people starting to notice her, but someone remembered her. Hours after one brief interaction, he remembered her.Dread settled deep into her skin, her heart thundering painfully until she felt like her skin might tear and let it leap loose onto the sidewalk. She had to do something, so she broke into a run. All the way home her feet pounded against sidewalk, road side, grass, and finally the wood of her small porch. she unlocked her apartment door and swung it open to stomp inside and slam it, leaning back against it a second later panting. A few seconds passed before she erupted into laughter.
Two things were very clear.
1. Somewhere along the way she had convinced herself she was being chased.
2. She was very out of shape, and if she was being chased, the unknown thing most definitely would have caught her.
She slid down slowly to sit, the door propping her up as she splayed her legs out Infront of her. She laughed still, laughed fully and deeply until her sides hurt. Until she cried from laughing, then cried from the memories her laughter brought. Her mother had always loved to make her laugh, which wasn't hard. Yavonne found little things amusing, and once she started it was hard to stop. her mom would joke that she was going to break a rib. but eventually she would giggle too. in that way, Yavonne could usually make things better. Not everything. but some things.
She stayed there a while, in the floor crying and giggling. For once glad she lived alone, glad no one was there to intrude. It felt nice to just...Let it out. so much of this has been controlled. contained. it was hard sometimes to remember that 3 short years ago, she was in a large full of people, full of food and conversation, just...full. The more memories she allowed to pass behind her tightly closed eyes, the more her chest ached. Instead, she pulled herself up and forced herself to get a bag ready. One of the perks of her constant moving was that she didn't have much stuff which meant it didn't take much cleaning, one of the downsides of it was that she had to keep up with her routine. with only 6 outfits, and just enough dishes for her she couldn't miss laundry or dishes for even a day, or it pretty well threw off everything. Also..her hygiene items and 3 outfits stayed packed In case she needed to leave, so using them meant putting them right back.
at 6 she threw her bag over her shoulder, just some left over school food, a blanket and lighter inside. Getting a Taxi in this town was a feat all its own. Not only were they expensive when she had little funds, but because there was no other form of public transportation, they often took a while to show up. It was almost 7 before she left her apartment to clamor into the back of the musky car. The taxi driver an older man with greying hair and a slowly balding head, smiled and provided light conversation the whole way, unlike most not seeming nosy at all. She couldn't help but smile anyways.Sometimes this town had its gems. These happy little old men were littered everywhere to brighten the day. Unlike most they didn't ask a whole lot of questions, just supply some comments and jabbered on, splashes of accent, making the conversation hard to fallow, but he didn't mind.
Those moments were simple, when she could just live in that moment, because she probably wouldn't see him again. Even in a town this small, when you didn't venture into town often, people found it much easier to forget you.
Just to Say It Iyla Ordia was dead. Beyond any repair or hope she was gone before Iyla even opened her eyes. Gone and she had given her last day to protect her and her sister. All of this because of 1 woman that Iyla was sure was perfect. She couldn't comprehend it all. Rehida was the responsible for Thalia’s attack, but why? All of this was rushing through her mind, even as Connor sat her down under a tree to go help Koin and Thalia do whatever they were actually doing. She couldn't bring herself to ask. After everything she and Ordia had suffered together, she was taken away so quickly Iyla hadn't even had time to know it before she was no more. Thalia was on the phone with someone, talking quickly, Iyla watched her, her thoughts still moving backwards to that terrible place. The strange creature told her that she would server the Gods by serving her or him. Then Thalia dropped in, and the creature actually ran to hide. It gave an earie laugh, too much air and not enough feel
What Beauty Can Disguise Koin He and Connor had taken their seats again, watching from a distance as his mother moved around the circle with some kind of herb, smoke wafting from it in heavy plumes as she whispered something. Then Ordia came into view, slowly, studying Rehida. Connor sat up a little "Over here" He whisper yelled to her, but she never looked in their direction. She was very focused on what Rehida was doing, her eyes moving over the circle slowly. A strange sort of energy was beginning to build, even Connor could feel it and they both stood "Hey? What’s going on?" Connor called out, understandably feeling panicked. Rehida stopped moving to look up to her and the two locked eyes. "Traitor. Thief. I know your name now. I know what you've done. What you would like to do." Ordeia told her. Koin stepped forward ready to interfere with whatever battle was taking place when his mother’s face twisted into a sneer, an almost inhuman expression, the corners of her lips pulli
Till The Worldly Grave is DugIylaShe had been dreaming about the ocean, her and Connor along with Thalia and Koin all just enjoying a long beach day, making sandcastles and learning awkwardly, to surf. They had their first kiss. Their first beautiful, magical, perfect kiss. Then it was night. That quickly. She closed her eyes as he kissed her, opened them and she was alone with the stary night sky above her. It was amazing, but she noticed something floating out on the waves, rising with each crest. It appeared to be a body!! She screamed for help, but no one was coming. She couldn’t remember why, but she wouldn't waist time. She ran out into the shallows of the shore and dove into the deeper water to swim out and try to grab onto the body, but she could no longer see it. The waves were getting much bigger now, she couldn't manage it anymore. One wave would lift her then crash her down into the depths and by the time she resurfaced to take in a breath another wave would slam down o
Like Bones Digging Deep Thalia This whole situation was making her skin crawl. Iyla had talked to her weeks before hand about how her venture into the dream scape was her first try, and if Ordia hadn't been there she probably would have been to scared to go for it. Sure, Iyla was a little reckless, but usually her misbehavior was due to curiosity, not an outright want for danger. Why would she have just randomly gone for a walk? How had Rehida known so quickly? She couldn't get her mind to shut down for a long time, no matter how many deep breaths she took, something about what was happening was far more unsettling than their main focus. Iyla had been in the dream state all day, it was hard telling how far away she was, Thalia could only hope that these last few days with Koin and feeling grounded would center her enough for her to also find her way back. Her biggest help was the fact that Thalia had taken walks at least twice a week for the past few years, the dream scape was nea
Respect Your Elders KoinHe couldn't even begin to understand, the things his mother was describing mine as well have been in a completely different language. He still felt Connors panic, and Thalia’s as well. Connor sat on Iylas right side holding her hand while others rushed around, Thalia had scooted to put Ilya’s head in her lap and stroked her hair. All he could do was go get the things his mom requested and watch. He knew the basics, that these women could somehow disconnect their minds and metaphysical bodies to move around freely in the world, he had seen Thalia do it herself, catching him being a pervert the day she was brought here. What he did find odd was that Ordia had left and not returned. Ordia had been like a grandmother for Iyla, and from what he understood had practically finished raising her after the attack on their village. Why would she not want to be here helping. Finally, as dusk settled in Rehida ordered most everyone away, except Thalia, Connor, Koin an
Of Shadows in Dreams Connor School sucked without Iyla now, he never noticed before how much people complained. The adults and the kids all just had negative things to say. There seemed to be no actual escape from it. All day long. I'm tired. I have a headache. I'm bored. My phones dead and I don’t have a charger. I stayed up all night talking to my boyfriend so now I can’t keep my eyes open. It was never ending, and how did he not catch on before he met her? It was like no one could see the good in the day at all. Before going home, he and Koin stopped at a grocery store and he went in to get a little bouquet of sunflowers, some chocolates and a movie. Even if she couldn’t go to school they could be lazy in bed, he even preordered pizza to pick up on the way home. Only when he got home she was out. He snuck in and put the flowers on her bedside table before going to set up the little living room with extra pillows and throw blankets he had brought over from the main house. Ordia
