The journey to Quinton Hotel MC was quite a long one from Metro City Hospital; but Oliver was excited about staying there, at least for the night.

After everything he went through over the last few hours, a good night’s sleep was what he needed; and he had Derek Quinton to thank, even though he did not know that Derek was a Quinton and not a Smith.

When the taxi was nearing the entrance of the hotel, Oliver took a moment to soak in the sights of the exterior of the hotel. Never before had Oliver been able to witness a six-star hotel in person. This night was the first for him.

After using his card to pay for the fare, Oliver made his way to the front door, eager to enter the hotel. However, before he could come close to the front door, the bell boy stopped him in his tracks.

“Excuse me, can I help you?” asked the bell boy, suspicious of Oliver’s attire.

“Yes, where is the reception? I’m checking in for the night. At least just for tonight.” replied Oliver, aware that the bell boy was having suspicions about him.

“Do you have any proof of documentation that you are staying in this hotel?” asked the bell boy. In his mind, he knew he could expose Oliver for being a fraud.

‘Damn, he’s quite smart. I only received a call from Derek about the reservation.’ Thought Oliver.

“I have received a call from the owner of the hotel, saying he had reserved a room for me. I believe your GM, Carson Stevens is expecting me. My name is Oliver Reed.” Replied Oliver calmly.

“Is that so? One moment, allow me to confirm with Mr. Stevens.” Said the bell boy. He then spoke into his lapel mic and contacted Carson for clarification. A minute later, the same bell boy turned his attention back to Oliver.

“Mr. Stevens is on his way down to meet you. Please stand to the side while you wait for him.” Requested the bell boy.

“I understand. I’ll step to the side.” Said Oliver as he did what the bell boy told him to. He did not want to cause any unnecessary trouble.

As he stood at the side of the front entrance, countless people went in and out of the hotel, giving Oliver weird and disgusted stares as they passed him.

In their minds, they were appalled that someone dressed like Oliver, looking like a bum, would be allowed to be standing anywhere remotely near a prestigious hotel like Quinton Hotel MC.

Oliver’s patience was growing thin as the minutes passed. There was increasing suspicion that the bell boy was not being honest with him.

Finally, Oliver had waited enough. He then took his phone out and looked at his contact list. Sure enough, as Derek mentioned, Carson Steven’s number was in the list.

‘Let’s see what happens when I give your boss a call. You are so dead.’ Thought Oliver as he stared daggers at the bell boy while contacting Carson. A couple of rings later, Carson was on the line.

“Hi there, are you Mr. Carson Stevens?” Oliver greeted over the phone. “You must be Oliver Reed. Yes, I have been expecting you. Are you at the entrance already?” asked Carson.

"Well, I'm at the entrance of the hotel, waiting for you to meet me here, per the information your bell boy gave to me." replied Oliver, getting impatient by the moment.

"That's odd. No one contacted me over the last few minutes. Please wait for me. I'll be at the entrance in three minutes. Oh, and please tell the bell boy to stay put." replied Carson before hanging up.

"Excuse me." Oliver said to the bell boy. "Didn't you say Mr. Stevens is on the way down? What is taking him so long?"

"What? Are you talking to me? I don't recall saying Mr. Stevens will meet you. Why would he meet such a poorly dressed loser like you?" replied the bell boy, showing his true colours to Oliver.

"Do yourself a favour. Just get lost. The sight of you is enough to make me sick. You are really stinking up the hotel with your presence." the bell boy continued taunting Oliver, not realising Carson was on his way down.

"Is this the level of standards being practiced by the Quinton group? I'm really disappointed. I should feedback this to Carson when he comes down." said Oliver, shaking his head in disappointment.

"How dare you call Mr. Stevens by name? Who the hell do you think you are, loser?!?" the bell boy lashed back, offended by Oliver's nonchalance.

"Security!! Get this piece of trash loser out of the hotel!" said the bell boy looking at the security guards to his left.

"What's going on here?!?" Carson's voice boomed as he opened the front doors to look for Oliver.

"Ah, Mr. Stevens. Just in time. This piece of trash here has the nerve to come here and request to look for you. He even dared to call you by name." the bell boy reported to Carson, implying that Oliver was a broke loser.

"About time you showed up, Carson." said Oliver. "I called you five minutes ago, saying this bell boy called you to let you know I'm here."

Hearing that, Carson realized the piece of trash that the bell boy was referring to was actually Oliver. Then, everything was made clear to Carson. His bell boy has offended Oliver, a VIP that Derek Quinton ordered to take utmost care of.

By that point, Carson was seething. He then confronted the bell boy and gave him two hard slaps across his face. The bell boy fell to the ground upon getting slapped by Carson; shock, confusion and pain clearly etched on his face.

"Mr. Stevens, why did you slap me? This piece of shit is clearly a nobody. I'm clearly defending you. Why are you taking his side?" the bell boy asked in confusion.

'Let's see what you are made of, Carson. What are you going to do about this?' thought Oliver.

Six months had passed since the night the Grand Ballroom of QS Holdings became the site of the most significant power shift in Metro City’s history. The dust had finally settled, the scandals had faded into the archives of the digital world, and the name "Connors" had become a cautionary tale whispered in the boardrooms of the elite.Oliver stood on the balcony of the Pink Diamond Bungalow, his gaze fixed on the city skyline. The neon lights of Metro City pulsed with a new, vibrant energy, a reflection of the hope that had returned to the streets.Beside him, Christina stood in the quiet of the evening, her hand resting on her growing stomach. The pregnancy had brought a softness to her features, a radiant peace that made her more beautiful than ever."You’re thinking about the name again, aren't you?" Christina asked, her voice a soft, melodic hum.Oliver turned to her, a small, reflective smile playing on his lips. "I was. I’ve spent the last few weeks talking with Sir Arthur and Ma

  • Who's the Loser Volume 2: The Exiled Loser Billionaire    Chapter 121: The Final Checkmate

The Grand Ballroom of the QS Holdings headquarters had become a theater of the impossible. The silence that had followed Oliver Smith’s true identity reveal was broken only by the ragged, desperate breathing of Thomas Connors. As the effects of the neuro-inhibitor began to wear off, a slow, agonizing movement returned to his limbs. He struggled against the grip of the military police, his face a mask of sweating, unadulterated hatred. "You think you’ve won, Oliver?" Thomas spat, his voice a jagged, broken sound. "Or so he thought," he muttered to himself, a final, delusional hope flickering in his eyes. He looked up at Oliver, his gaze a silent, devastating promise of destruction. "You think a few suits and a legal buyout can stop the Connors? You’re a fool! While you were playing king on this stage, my allies were already dismantling your foundation. Karen, Macy, and Aliyah are in Townsville as we speak. They’re destroying the Quinton Tower, burning all evidence of the Quinton '

The air in the Grand Ballroom was thick with the scent of ozone and the metallic tang of fear. Thomas Connors stood on the stage, his face a mask of sweating, desperate madness. The silver-plated handgun was pressed hard against Christina’s temple, his finger white on the trigger. He was a man who had lost everything—his company, his reputation, his military support—and in his mind, the only way to win was to ensure that Oliver Reed lost as well."Don't move, Oliver!" Thomas shrieked, his voice a jagged, high-pitched sound that echoed in the silence. "I’ll do it! I swear to God, I’ll do it! You think you’re a king? You think you’ve won? You’re still the same loser maid who cleared my table! You’re nothing!"Oliver Reed stood in the center of the stage, his hands raised in a gesture of calm, measured surrender. But his eyes were not those of a victim. They were cold, brilliant, and terrifyingly focused. The jade ring on his finger was no longer pulsing; it was glowing with a steady, in

The silence in the Grand Ballroom was no longer expectant; it was absolute, a heavy, suffocating weight that seemed to press the very breath from the lungs of every guest present.Thomas Connors stood frozen, his eyes bulging as he stared at the man on the stage. The "loser," the "servant," the man he had personally seen "exiled" and presumed dead, was standing before him, radiating a power that made the golden chandeliers above seem dim.Oliver Reed didn't say a word. He simply stood there, his hand resting on the podium, the jade ring on his finger pulsing with a slow, rhythmic emerald light. The silence stretched, vibrating with the collective shock of Metro City’s elite. Then, the first whisper broke."Is that… is that really him?""Oliver Reed? But he’s dead! Was he not killed in an accident!""Look at him… he doesn't look like a loser anymore. He looks like a king."Thomas finally found his voice, though it was a ragged, high-pitched shadow of its former self. "Impossible! This

The Grand Ballroom of the QS Holdings headquarters was a masterpiece of architectural arrogance. Gold leaf traced the intricate patterns on the marble columns, and the massive crystal chandeliers overhead cast a light so brilliant it seemed to hum with its own power. This was the stage for Metro City’s most elite, a place where fortunes were made and reputations were destroyed over a single glass of vintage champagne. But tonight, the usual air of bored sophistication was replaced by a sharp, electric tension. The rumors had been swirling for days, fueled by a series of cryptic social media posts from Sharon Belotti, the CEO of OneMedia. The teaser was simple but devastating: A new era begins. Meet the mystery Chairman of QS Holdings at the Gala."Have you seen the posts?" a woman in a shimmering emerald gown whispered to her companion, her eyes darting towards the stage. "Sharon’s been hinting at someone 'transformative.' Who could it be? Is it a Quinton from Townsville? Or someone f

The dawn over Metro City was a pale, sickly grey, as if the sky itself was holding its breath in anticipation of the storm to come. In the command center of the Pink Diamond Bungalow, the atmosphere was one of clinical, lethal efficiency.Oliver Reed stood before the main monitor, the jade ring on his finger glowing with a faint, pulsing light. He felt a sudden, sharp clarity—a gift of the ring’s clairvoyance—that allowed him to see the pieces of the board moving in real-time."Tanya, status on the hit-and-run suspects," Oliver commanded, his voice a low, resonant baritone.Tanya Boyce’s face appeared on a sub-monitor, her expression one of cold, focused fury. She was at a secure warehouse on the outskirts of the city, where Mitchell Remy’s team had just finished their "interview" with Jerome Kensworth and Fred Vogt."They’ve confessed, Oliver," Tanya said. "Lacy Connors paid them fifty thousand dollars to 'take out' Ian and Rose. She wanted to hurt you where it would hurt the most—yo
