I was frozen in shock, staring at those three little words like I was about to burn a hole through the paper. How could she have just known about it? It was impossible! My head started to race with all sorts of questions. How many other people knew? Was it going around? What if the entire school knew already? I swallowed nervously, feeling my heart pounding from the sheer sense of the unknown.

I slowly looked up at the long, wavy sable hair on the back of Lila's head. She seemed to be back to focused on her work. Barring how she actually knew, what was the reason she wanted me to freeze time anyway? Maybe it was something as harmless as simply wanting to talk. I wondered if she was looking for some kind of blackmail to hold over me. Well, I could only hope not.
