Andrea's Point of View

"Please, Andy! This is our last time to go to a high school party."

Lizzy begs me with big eyes but I shake my head.

"No, I already told you that I don't want to go, Lizzie. I don't feel like myself and I just want to go home, curl up in bed, eat some snack and watch a few rom-coms."

I say as I continue to walk home.

We just finished our last day of high school, and tomorrow the vacation starts.

These last exams were tough, and I really don't feel so good. My skin feels all pricky and my wolf feels out of sorts too. All I want to do right now is curl up in my bed.

The last thing I want to do is to go to a party. I don't like going to parties. I hate the noise and all the people, but, unfortunately for me, my best friend, Lizzy, loves to go to parties.

She never wants to go alone though and somehow I always end up getting dragged along with her.

"Come on! Don't be that way. This is the first time Rafeal has been back since he started Alpha training and I really want to go."

She says, and I frown at her.

"If you want to go so badly, why don’t you just go without me?"

I ask but she shakes her head.

"No, I don't want to go alone. I want to go to our last high school party with my best friend. So please, come with me? It will be fun, I promise. Besides, aren't you curious about him? You had the biggest crush on him when we were younger."

She says and I roll my eyes with a sigh.

"You know I don't like going out to parties. And every time you say something is going to be fun, it never is. And honestly, no. I really don't want to go to a party just to see someone I had a crush on years ago."

I say pointedly and she sighs.

"Come on, Andy, exams are over and we have finally finished high school. Let's go celebrate it tonight."

She pleads and I sigh again.

"Be honest, you only want to go because because you know that Jed is coming back with him tonight."

I say and she sighs.

"Yeah, okay. Fine. I want to go see him, but that isn't the only reason. Please, let's go dance and have some fun. We deserve it after the exams."

She pleads, pouting slightly at me and I sigh again.

"I don't know, Lizzy... Just give me some time, and I'll think about it..."

I murmur and she smiles triumphantly at me, hooking her arm through mine.

"Yes! Thank you, Andy. Oh, we have so much to do! We need to decide on what to do with our hair and we need to start putting together our outfits.... Oh!"

She gasps, interrupting herself before she excitedly looks at me.

"I know exactly what you should wear! You'll love it!"

She squeals excitedly, grinning widely at me and I arch a brow at her.

"You do realize that I haven't actually agreed to go with you to the party yet, right? I just said that I would think about it."

I say and she grins at me, shrugging her shoulders.

"Yeah... Sure."

She says and I sigh, shaking my head but I don't bother trying to argue with her because I know that there is no use in arguing with her when she has her mind set on something.

‐--------------------------------------------------

4 hours later

I stare at my reflection in horror. There is no way the girl staring back is actually me.

Her hair curls loosely down her back, her eyes are a light smokey brown and her lips is somewhere between a dark purple and a dark red. She looks mysterious and sexy, but that isn't the part that really bothers me.

"No. There is no way I am wearing this! I can't go out in public like this!"

I say horrified, shaking my head as I move my hand over the outfit that Lizzy pushed into my hand as soon as she got here and urged me to try on.

She frowns, looking me over.

"I don't see the problem. You look great."

She says with a shrugs and I glance at her before looking back at my reflection. I shake my head again.

"No... I can't wear this! These jeans are way to tight and why are they this low? And this shirt, of you can even call it that, leaves little to the imagination."

I say as I once again try to pull the shirt down over my stomach and up over my breasts at the same time.

I curse softly when it doesn't work and Lizzy laughs.

"Stop being such a prude, and leave your shirt alone. You look incredible. The boys won't be able to take their eyes off of you."

She says, swatting my hands away and pulling the shirt back into its place.

I push her hands away and frown at her.

"I don't want the boys eyes on me."

I mutter and she rolls her eyes at me.

"Fine, what about this, maybe you'll find your mate tonight and he won't be able to keep his eyes, or his hands off of you."

She says and I scoff, shaking my head.

"Be real Lizzy... My birthday was five months ago and I haven't had any luck so far, so why would tonight be any different?"

I ask, arching a brow at her and she shrugs slightly.

"I don't know. I just have a feeling that tonight might be the night. Now, stop glaring at the mirror and let's go. We're going to be late!"

She says, grabbing her phone from the bed.

I turn back to the mirror, taking one last look at my reflection before I sigh and shake my head.

"Fine. Let's just go."

I mutter, turning to Lizzy and she grins at me.

"That's my girl."

She says, grabbing my hand and together we leave my bedroom.

Rafael's Point of View Somewhere along the way, the children started getting tired. Haley had been full of energy when we first left the packhouse, asking questions about everything she saw and pointing excitedly towards the border. But after a while, her little voice became quieter. Now she's leaning against me, her arms wrapped around my neck. "Daddy?" "Hmm?" "Are we almost home?" I smile. "Getting tired?" She shakes her head immediately. "No." I laugh softly. "Of course not." "I'm just resting my eyes." Rick chuckles from beside me. "That's what my son said ten minutes ago." I glance over at Jackson, who is sitting in front of Rick on the four-wheeler, his head already drooping. "Looks like we've worn them out." Rick nods. "I think it's time we call it a day." The children protest, but neither of them has enough energy left to argue for long. "We'll do it again." I promise Haley. "Really?" "Really." She smiles sleepily. "Okay." By the time we reach the p

Rafael’s Point of View.I stare at the children playing in the corner of my office, barely paying attention to the papers scattered across my desk."Rafael, are you listening?"Jed asks with a frown. My head snaps in his direction."Excuse me?""I asked if you're listening."He raises an eyebrow."Which, clearly, you're not."I shake my head and run a hand through my hair."No, sorry. Go ahead.""Never mind."He sighs."Have you talked to her?""Who?"I ask, looking down at the papers in front of me.Jed gives me a look."Don't act like you don't know who I'm talking about. Andrea. Have you talked to her?"I sigh."No, I haven't.""Why not?"Rick asks, crossing his arms over his chest."I don't know what to say.""How about you apologize?""I know."I sigh again."But I don't know where to start."I look down at my desk."And I don't know if she'll even listen to me.""So you're not even going to try?"Rick asks."Of course I am."I look at him."I just thought I'd give her the day."

Andrea's Point of View I groan as I roll over, reaching for my phone on the nightstand to shut off the alarm screaming at me. When it is finally quiet I run my hands down my face, before staring up at the ceiling. I don't think I've slept all that much last night. Luckily, Haley had a sleepover with Jackson, so at least I don't have to worry about getting her ready for the day. If I'm being completely honest, I don't want to get myself ready for this girls' day out either. With Haley occupied, all I want to do is to stay in bed and feel sorry for myself. I lift my phone to look at the time and I sigh again before forcing myself out of bed and heading into the bathroom to start the day. Twenty minutes later, someone is hammering loudly on my bedroom door. "I'm coming! I'm coming! Stop trying to break down my door!" I yell, as I grabbing my things before making my way to the door. I quickly open it, and Lizzy standing there with her arm raised to knock again. She slowly low

Rafael's Point of View I take another sip from the glass in my hand, staring down at the amber liquid. I can't bring myself to go downstairs for dinner. I don't think I can face Andrea right now. I sigh and run my hand through my hair before resting my head against the back of my chair. Her words keep playing over and over in my head. You're supposed to be on my side. I close my eyes. She's right. I know she's right. I just didn't know how to handle the situation without making things worse. I think about what she said about Addison touching me. I know I should have stopped her. But over the years, I've become so accustomed to Addison talking to me, touching my arm, standing too close, that I barely even register it anymore. I always just ignored it. My father constantly told me not to be rude to her. Not to embarrass her. Not to make her feel unwanted. He always said it would set a bad example for the pack. But now I'm wondering why. Why did he care so much about A

Andrea's Point of ViewI shake my head, staring at Rafael."Seriously?"I let out a disbelieving laugh, but there is nothing funny about this."Okay, yes. I know I didn't react very well to the situation."I throw my hands up."But what did you expect me to do? I can't stand her, Rafael. She was deliberately trying to get a rise out of me."I shake my head, my anger growing with every word."And she got one. I'll admit that. I should have handled it better. I could have been more diplomatic, and maybe I should have just walked away. But I'm not sorry for being angry."I say firmly and Rafael frowns at me."Andrea...""No. I'm not finished."I cut him off. My voice cracks slightly, but I force myself to keep going."I am not sorry for how I acted. If anyone knew what happened between us, they would understand why I react the way I do when she is around. But you know what the problem is?"I take a step toward him."You are. Because she is trying to make me look like a terrible person, a

Andrea's Point of ViewI laugh and shake my head at Rafael and Haley, who are chasing each other around as we make our way toward the ice cream shop."Come and get me, slow poke!"Haley yells at her father before taking off as fast as her little legs can carry her.Rafael laughs and starts chasing her."You're going down, little wolf!"I smile, watching them for a moment before something suddenly slams into me, almost knocking me off of my feet.I stumble, but I manage to catch myself before I fall.I look up and see Addison standing in front of me, sneering at me."Can't you ever just watch where you're going?"She snaps at me.I frown, folding my arms over my chest."You slammed into me. Maybe you should watch where you're going."I say coldly. She opens her mouth to answer, but suddenly her entire expression changes when she looks past me.A sweet smile spreads across her face."Is there a problem here?"I hear Rafael ask from behind me.He steps closer, placing his hand on the sma
