I wake up slowly, blinking my eyes, trying to adjust them to the dim room as I try to figure out what exactly woke me up.

Something moves next to me.

I turn my head and immediately find two excited little eyes staring back at me.

"Morning, Mommy."

Haley sings the words, and I groan softly as I rub my hand over my face.

"Why are you awake?"

I reach for my phone and glance at the time.

When it is finally quiet I run my hands down my face, before staring up at the ceiling. I don't think I've slept all that much last night.
