Jamerson's POV

Age Six

Chrys is so mad right now I can feel it. I can't believe she went as far as to hit me like that. If she would just listen a second. I know I'll still get to go to the trials with her. We had so much to do there. We couldn't mess that up. "I"

couldn't mess that up.

Before I could get her to stop yelling at me she dropped to her knees in front of me. The air got really hot and I felt like I was breathing it in. A warm feeling spread in my chest. Chrys began to change right in front of me. I thought it was weird she was already shifting and we were only pups. Her ears got a bit bigger and fur started to grow on them. Her fingers started to get claws and fur too. She also had a fluffy tail coming from behind her. I could only stare. I was also having a hard time breathing. Then Chrys's eyes began to shine and change colors.

I took a step forward and all of sudden she disappeared and the warm feeling was gone with her. One moment she was in front of me in pain and then the next she looked like she was being sucked into a different darker part of the forest that was closed off to me. Once it had her. I called out to her. "Chrysie! Chrysie! Chrysie, where are you! Can you hear me?!" I got nothing.

I knew she wasn't entirely gone because I could still feel here in myself. Since our pact was made I have been able to sort of tell where she is and sometimes I feel how she feels.

I didn't know how to save her, so I started running back to the pack house. I started yelling as I got close. "Alpha! Alpha! Alpha, help! Please help!" I ran right into Luna Elena.

She looked down at me in a disapproving manner. She bent down to scold me saying, "you know you should not be running in the pack house Jamerson?"

I looked up into the face that was so much like Chrysie's and started to cry. She put her arms around me saying, "tears will not keep you out of trouble for very much longer Jamey."

I pulled back and I started telling her what happened with Chrys in the forest and she picked me up and started running. As we ran I could feel her aura going crazy while holding me. As we got closer to the forest I saw Alpha Virgil and some warriors running behind us.

Once in the forest I think Luna and Alpha could smell the spot that Chrys was at when it happened. Luna put me down and I finished telling them what she looked like and how it felt when it happened.

Alpha Virgil began to question me, "What do you mean she was shifting? You two can't shift. You know this Jamerson. So, try to remember son. What did you really see? I understand you're scared. Did someone make it onto our land and take her?"

I just stood there looking at the spot Chrys should have been. Before I could speak Luna Elena did. "Virgil. Give the child time to answer.” “We only have a short amount of time to find her," Alpha Virgil said.

All of sudden I felt the warmth in my chest again. It was like when Chrys was in pain in front of me. I started walking in a circle. looking up, twisting and turning. "What's going on Jamerson? Are you okay?" Luna Elena started to question me. "Chrysie is still here." I said. "What do you mean?" Both Alpha and Luna asked at the same time.

I started to tell them that I could feel it but, before I got the words out they appeared almost surrounding us. They were wolves like us. With brown or orange eyes. I couldn't tell. A man and woman that looked like they were the leaders stepped forward.

"Who is in charge here?" The man asked. Alpha Virgil stepped forward putting all of us behind his large frame. He spoke up, "I am the Alpha here. How did you get here? Who are you? Where do you come from?" Our warriors began to flank him to protect Luna and I.

Alpha Virgil started to lift his head in the air like he could smell something. His eyes started to shift into his wolf's electric blue color and his claws extended. He didn't lose himself to his wolf though. His wolf asked, "Why do you smell of my pup. Are you the ones that took her from here?"

The man that looked to be the leader moved his hand in the air to call someone forward. Another figure appeared out of nowhere as if it was invisible at first and then became visible. The person seemed to be a tall young man. He was holding Chrys in his arms. He started walking towards Alpha Virgil as if he was going to hand her over. He started to extend his arms and stopped. He turned his head. Eyes glowing and walked straight towards me.  He knelt in front of me and laid her down. I didn't realize I had been clutching my chest since they showed up. I fell to my knees beside her body. She was still part shifted. I could hear Luna Elena telling Alpha Virgil to stay where he was. Chrys was asleep. Her dress was torn up and there was blood on it and all over her. I placed my hand on her chest where I could feel the warmth in mine. All of sudden she shifted back to normal and I could breathe again. I fell next to her on the ground. I was so tired. I put my arm around Chrys and looked over at the others watching us.

Jude’s POV It was Friday morning and everything was pretty much the same. Trained with guys before I got a call from Kayne.Dude needed to relax. He was lucky I was in the pack house to receive the call. I told him everything was under control and for him to relax and focus on getting us the best deal in the alliance that he could. Since I’d walked the pack grounds checking on everyone making sure they were getting used to me again I’d decided to go into town to check on the business here at home. I made sure the warriors understood I’d be gone for a second before I walked out of the pack house. As soon as I shut the door and walked towards a jeep the sirens went off.I linked Jane a beta over training, “What is it Jane?” “We had a breach on the back of the sacred lands. They didn’t get too far but I sounded the alarm to be sure none got by us. There were at least ten rogues and an accomplice. The none rogue is alive. We have them chained and secured,” she explained.“O

Alpha Virgil’s POV After Jackson put the code into the guarded door that led to the prison cells we walked through it.“Did you have to give the boy such a hard time?” He asked me. “No. I just wanted to see how he would react under the pressure. I’m sure he’s a good wolf. He just has some unfortunate luck. Be sure to let him know I was only concerned. If I have to speak with him myself I will.” “I’ll have a talk with him first. He has been pushing himself nonstop since Chrys sent him back for the extra training. He really is a good warrior. He just needs to trust himself more.” Jackson responded. “So what happened out there? We usually don’t have an issue with rogues.” I asked him as we walked down the hall to the interrogation side room. “I was informed of the rogues approaching. There were about ten of them. You know rogues will have either extra strength or extra speed. Never both. Well they had both. I’m not sure if there was anything else different about them. By

Chrysalis’s POVI waited for Leon to respond.I could tell Blake wanted to kick me under the table. The silence was suffocating. For everyone else that is. I didn’t give two fucks. He came to the Accords each and every time offering a false peace treaty just so no one would rise up against him. That just tells me he is biding his time. Waiting until he has what he needs to start again. They shouldn’t have let him off so easily back then. Clinton stopped staring at me and looked at Leon. Everyone else did the same once they realized I’d said what I’d said and wasn’t going to back down.Leon looked at Clinton without answering me and said, “What is the next issue?” Clinton cleared his throat and continued. “The next issue is the Enchanted forest. We all know that forest is an unguarded gateway to the Dark Realm.”Again Leon interrupted saying, “Another none wolf issue?” “Prehaps you should allow him to speak so that he may be able to explain before you start dismis

Kayne’s POVAfter pretending to have been going over my files I looked up just at the same time as she did.But she was looking at Alpha Leon and his advisor. Why wasn’t I aware we had a regional she-wolf alpha? I thought. She didn’t linger long enough for them to notice she had been staring. I noticed a slight change in her eyes. It was one of recognition. She resumed going over her files before the Elder Wolf Clinton Rosemoon stood. We have other Elder wolves but he is more prominent. He keeps up with the younger generations. “Hello everyone. I'd like to go ahead and welcome you all to this year's Accords. The alliance of the Alphas. My Witch colleague hasn’t been able to make it in yet. She will join us as soon as she finishes handling her affairs.” He paused looking at the woman like he couldn’t figure out why she was there. The guy sitting next to her looked to be holding in a laugh while she rolled her eyes looking annoyed. The guy finally held up the name plate o

Kayne’s POV I woke up early this morning so I could get a workout in and check on the packs before the meeting. Jude told me that I needed to relax and focus on today's meeting. I knew that but it was out of pure habit that I checked in anyhow. I decided not to call again today unless I had to. I wanted him to know I was trying to trust him. And for the most part I did. I was just giving him a hard time for checking out on me when we needed each other the most.I was dressed and ready to go have a “snack” with Sam before going into the meeting. Since this weekend was more about business than anything else I had on a suit today. I still kept a blade on me. I got some of my hair done in some intricate braids so I wouldn’t have to worry about it. It's a good thing they don’t unravel when shifting. I don’t know the magic behind it but I’m grateful. I made my way out of the suite after grabbing my files off the desk. As I turned around Sam was leaning up against the opposi

Kayne’s POV I was glad to have that long ass trip over with. I will give it to the realm when it comes to transportation outside of portals. We’re trying to keep pollution of all kinds to a minimum here in the enchanted realm so no airplanes at the moment.Pollution is the one thing most of us agree with. Including the magic council. The only reason we haven't established a major portal here in Rose city is because it’s supposed to be a neutral point and the major portals are owned by the Blackcrest pack. I think they credit their current Luna with that invention. It’s not like certain beings can’ make big portals, however It is difficult and possibly endangering to carry so many at once. The Major Portals can be operated to carry platforms and even armies could file through them at once. They can stay open for long periods of time. I don’t understand the technicalities behind them but they are very useful and the preferred way to travel in and out of different planes.
