LOGINSteel's POV
“Hmm,” She hummed when I finally let her breathe on her own again. Her moss-green eyes found mine, and her eyes narrowed at me in surprise. “What was that?”
I grinned.
“Nothing,” I said, shaking my head. Now was not the time to tell her how I felt. We had more time ahead of us, and I’d have my chance to tell her. I’d make sure of it…
Opening the door, we were met with loud blasts of music and the smell of alcohol and smoke. Everybody greeted us with loud cheers and hollers, everybody was eager to meet her. I possessively put my arm around her, warning the others to stay the fuck away, as I led her to a table, where most of the mechanic’s and my closest brothers were seated.
“Prez, he’s our president,” I introduced her, sliding onto the bench with her on the inside, so no one else could sit next to her.
Pres lifted his glass in greeting but didn’t say anything. He still wasn’t happy about the whole situation with
Rose's POV“Now I’m done!” Cracker happily announced, with a grin. She and Knives had a moment, and after it passed, he smirked and chuckled, despite the blood dripping from his nose. The crowd cheered as the fight came to a conclusion, and I quickly rushed up to my man.“Are you ok?” I asked worried, seeing a lot of blood coloring his hand, face, and T-shirt.“He’ll be fine!” Cracker snorted and handed him a towel. “I held back.”“Like fuck you did!” he grunted, but took the towel anyway and looked around until he found Grace. It wasn’t until she held out an icepack that I understood the situation.So... this was a regular occurrence?Judging by how prepared everyone was, I’d say yes! Hell, even Prez held out a T-shirt ready for him, a
8 weeks later...Rose’s POVI put the last file away, happy that that nightmare was over. After weeks of court meetings and police questioning, the case against Grace had been classified as closed, and she was found NOT guilty. Thanks to Cracker, they couldn’t hold her on a single charge, and after The Wolf Riders showed the new cops, who had rolled into town a couple of weeks ago, all the evidence they’d gathered, they put an APB on Jones and the rest of Viper’s men.Not that they’d ever find them...Through the office window, I realized that Cracker was dragging Knives downstairs, and for some reason, everyone was laughing and eagerly following them down the stairs. My man didn’t look too happy about it, but as always when life gave him lemons--- he sucked it up and swallowed it!
Steel’s POVI walked into the basement and watched the figure on the chair, with a black sack covering his face. Not that it was any mystery who he was! He was cursing up a storm, as we’d caught him just as he was about to leave town. Now that the skeletons were coming out of the closet, heads were rolling, and his father was among them...I pulled the sack off, revealing a disheveled and pissed-off Jones under the fabric.“You’ll all rot in jail for this!” he screamed as if he had any authority here.“Really,” I scoffed and turned to Prez, who was standing next to me. “Say... Didn’t Jones drive off after trying to irritate the shit out of us?”“You wanted to smack him, but he left alive and well, the last time I saw him,” Prez replied with a deadpan
Knives's POVThe good doctor looked at all of us, seeing the hostility and disgust there, he dropped the good doctor act and turned to Prez with a cold, heartless, and calculated stare.“I can save her,” he said shortly, cutting all the bullshit. “Or I don’t! What is she worth to you?”Anger flashed behind Prez’s calm exterior while the rest curled their fingers until their knuckles turned white. But before anyone could answer, I’d already snapped. I was so fucking sick and tired of the bad guys having the upper hand in this fight. Tired of always having an Ace up their sleeve and tired of being moved around like a fucking pun on a fucking chessboard!I. Was. Fucking. DONE!“How about this?” I growled, and before anyone could stop me, I had the good doctor by the throat and pressed him up against
Knives’s POV“ROSE!”Her name left my lips in a mix of rage and pain. I rushed over to her, and my training automatically kicked in. Blood was oozing from a hole in her chest, and she wasn’t moving. I dropped next to her, and to my relief, she still had a pulse. But it was weak and getting weaker with each struggling heartbeat.“Fuck! Call an ambulance!” Decker, I think, called out behind me, as I covered her wound with my shirt, trying to stop the bleeding.Well, fuck that!“GRACE!”I screamed her name from the top of my lungs, and within seconds, I noticed there was a big, barely visible blond next to me. But for some reason, my eyesight was getting blurry, and I didn’t understand why. I fucking needed to see!
Moments before...Knives’s POV“We have a huge problem!” Steel said as he came rushing over. Panic wasn’t an emotion you saw a lot on the huge Enforcer, but when it was there, we knew to worry! And fuck it, but my heart dropped, my mind instantly going to Rose and the club. Had they hit the club while we were out?Rose...!Steel held out his phone, and I realized that he was on speaker with someone, but had muted his mic.“Davis,” Grace’s voice came through, and it sounded like she was trying to calm or placate someone. “Let’s not be reckless here, OK? But the fucking gun away---!”“That’s Grace,” Prez said, his eyes wide in fear.Well, fuck that!
