Rose’s POV
I put the last file away, happy that that nightmare was over. After weeks of court meetings and police questioning, the case against Grace had been classified as closed, and she was found NOT guilty. Thanks to Cracker, they couldn’t hold her on a single charge, and after The Wolf Riders showed the new cops, who had rolled into town a couple of weeks ago, all the evidence they’d gathered, they put an APB on Jones and the rest of Viper’s men.
Not that they’d ever find them...
Through the office window, I realized that Cracker was dragging Knives downstairs, and for some reason, everyone was laughing and eagerly following them down the stairs. My man didn’t look too happy about it, but as always when life gave him lemons--- he sucked it up and swallowed it!

Rose's POV“Now I’m done!” Cracker happily announced, with a grin. She and Knives had a moment, and after it passed, he smirked and chuckled, despite the blood dripping from his nose.
