Escape From The Pack

William awoke the next day in a wooden house. He also heard the noise made by women and men conversing outside. His ears did not miss the laughter of the young people playing. He got out of bed and noticed that he was dressed in a different outfit. He examined his undergarments and wondered why they were different from what he remembered wearing the night before, so he tried to recall what had happened.

He stood up automatically after recalling everything that had actually happened. He slapped his face three times to make sure he wasn't hallucinating. The door slammed shut, and a woman in her 40s entered, according to William. He had a tray with a plate of food and a glass of water on it.

“You're awake,” the woman said, smiling.

William took a step back when he remembered the werewolves chasing him the night before.

“Don't worry, you're in a safe place,” the woman said as she approached the table next to William's bed and placed the tray she was carrying on top of it.
