Jhoanna’s POV

The days that followed were a blur of research and restless determination. Between morning sickness and the heavy weight of wanting to help Luna Tilly, I barely had time to catch my breath. But I couldn’t stop—I wouldn’t stop.

Luna Tilly deserved better than whispers of failure and the crushing weight of an unknown curse that we aren't even sure is real and it is something she couldn’t control.

While Uncle Jayden, Dad and Hans focused on their respective pack's immediate needs, I found myself drawn to the dusty, forgotten corners of our Midnight pack's library.

Hans wasn’t thrilled about me being here alone of course, but with Samuel and Beta Trent busy combing through Blood Moon Pack's records, and Mom and Uncle Aidan deep in Crescent Moon’s archives, I convinced him to let me take this task on. More like compromised because I am surrounded by some of our pack members.

The library smelled of old paper and aged leather—a comforting scent despite the daunting task ahead.
