TALIA

Finally, someone came to the door and peered in. I looked up to find a very pretty blonde woman with a pixie cut, looking to be in her early twenties, staring in at me. I realized she had a close resemblance to Alex with dirty-blonde hair and eyes like his. Hers were much more like his than Alex’s. Hers were evil, ominous. She looked at me with murder on her face.

“Unfortunately, I promised Alex I’d leave you alive and in one piece for him,” she said. “But, fortunately for me, werewolves heal quite nicely. We can’t let my brother have all the fun, eh? He was my father too, after all.” She pulled out a blade. “Recognize this?” she asked me, an evil smile on her face.

I gasped, realizing right away it was the same one I had shoved into his back. I had owned that blade for years, sleeping with it under my pillow just in case. And did she just call Alex her brother? A chill traveled up my spine.

“John!” she called. “Chain up her legs too. We’re going to have some fun today.”
