Lauren's POV

I had been feeling a little off for a while now. I usually take Saturdays and Sundays off from training classes to spend time with Ashton. Unless there’s an emergency, he doesn’t go into the office on weekends either. So today, he was with me when I suddenly got sick right after breakfast.

We were eating with his family when it happened. After rushing to the restroom in the packhouse lobby, I came back out to find Ashton and Fiona waiting for me. Ashton’s eyes were filled with worry as he pulled me into his chest and kissed the top of my head.

“Are you okay, baby? Do you want to go see the doctor? You’ve been feeling off for over a week now,” he asked gently.

“I think she’s less sick and more expecting the next Alpha,” Fiona said quietly.

Her words sent a small jolt through me.

I hadn’t thought it would happen this soon. Don’t get me wrong, I wanted a baby, absolutely. I just haven't been focused on that lately. I had been adjusting to life with a new pack, learning name
