DAMIEN’S POV

One of the brothers was commanded to look after me. He brought me medicines and food and kept me undisturbed in a room by a tree, where birds came every morning and evening. I was commanded to not go anywhere until I was fit to travel. When the brother who brought my meals noticed that I ate the vegetables more than the meat he brought, he spoke harshly to me.

‘You should eat more meat so that you can gain your strength and agility quickly.’

‘But my mouth still feels sore. I can barely chew.’ I responded

‘Oh, I see that you just want to waste our time by delaying your recovery. It didn’t seem like you had a sore mouth when you were pleading for a second chance the other day.’

If I had my way, I would know the living daylight out of this one, but there would be a chance for that soon.

‘The meat seems very tough and I can’t chew as much as I would want to, but I will do better.’
