She was still deep asleep when the constant banging at the door woke her up. She groaned when it didn't stop.
"Who the hell?" She yelled from the bedroom but got no reply, the gate post was far away from her bedroom.
Then, her phone beeped. She managed to pick up and it was a call from the caretaker.
"Hello." She yawned as she spoke.
"Good morning madam, pls can you open the gate?" He asked politely. "The gate is locked, I can't come in." He told her and she quickly jumped out of bed wondering what was happening that made him called her so early in the morning.
She said a short prayer and stepped out of the room, she went towards the gate hoping nothing serious was happening, she got to the gate and peeped through a small hole to be certain it was really the caretaker that called her. She opened the gate and greeted him.
"Morning sir." She greeted.
"Mornin
"Could you please show me around when you're done?" Annie requested, her face turning into an innocent smile."Sure." Ben returned the smile, she was sitted at the balcony of the house trying to comb and oil the tangled edges of her premium fiber wig."The wig is tangled right?" Annie asked, not knowing how else to start a conversation with her, Ben seemed older than her and she was somewhat shy when she was around Ben.Maybe because she was new to her, she didn't want to give Ben the wrong impression about her."Sure, it is." Ben dropped the comb when the wig looked a lot better than when she just brought it out of her room. "I think its fake." She told Annie, "Come sit." She cleared the things on the chair, placed them down and gave the seat to Annie."Thanks." She took the seat and sat down. "It looks better now." She picked the fringes and checked it out. "This looks cool, just t
"Ben." He called her name over the phone, even without checking the screen, she knew the voice. She could easily recognize the baritone voice that was meant for one person."Babe!" She squealed."I'm at your gate, come open the gate." He said."Sure." She ran towards the gate and opened without giving it a second thought, she sighted his car and giggled gaily.'When did they become that close?' She smiled again, he was already an important part of her life and she was really glad their paths ever crossed."He yo!" She waddled towards the car waving happily at him. "I never knew you could make it here all by self." She said."I'm not a dumb ass, I've been here before." He opened the door and came out of the car, she moved back to pave for way for him to stand. "Good afternoon by the way." He gave the bags he brought along to her."You brought ice creams?" S

The ones we've been friends with for longer would always be appreciated and cherished in our hearts.Breaking up and making up are the two things that made a relationship works out lasts longer, Ben missed Esther terribly, not talking to her best friend for more than a month took a toll on her. Mothers and their worries about issues, she just closed from work and was heading towards the garage when her mother's call came in. She rejected the call, making a cognitive note to call her when she gets home. When she got home, she placed a call over to her mom."Good evening maami, I was heading home when you called. I had to end your call to call you back." She explained to her mother."Adesewa." Her mother calls her by her middle name, she always does that. "Kurole.""How have you been mom and how's everyone at home?" She removed her shoes and cleaned her feet on the mat before sitting on the couch."We're fine and everything has been fine." She replied with coldness evident in her voice, Ben quickly detected it."Hope everything is okay, maami?" She asked."Everything is not okay, in fact a lot is wrong." She retorted and Ben wondered what happened at home, the
"I need you to stand by me tomorrow, it's our end of the year party and I want you to be by my right hand side..." He trailed off."Sir?" She called but got no reply from him. "Sir?" She called again and this time, he turned back to her with a full force. "Are you alright sir?" She questioned."What happened?" He asked her, his brows wriggling in worries."You passed out." She told him and he stared at her, trying to remember what he was saying before falling into an unconscious state."Would you be around tomorrow?" He asked and she nodded."Yes or no?" He asked and she replied him."Yes sir." She giggled."Good, see you then." He returned back to work.Ben turned to leave but stopped at her tracks. "Boss?" She called him swiftly."Yes?" He looked up at her."You need to take a break, like a rest. You're

She was an hour late by the time she got to the office, she went directly to her office and checked the place out.It was quiet, as she moved on. She noticed no one's presence. She was about to close back the door she saw a card on her table. It was packed in a small velvet box, she held it and looked at it.It was so beautiful, "Who dropped this here?" She asked no one in particular, she shoved it into her mini purse and walked out of the office. She closed the door and locked it with its keys, at that moment, it dawned on her that only Roshan and her had the keys to her office."Could he be the one?" She questioned as she walked towards the hall. She got to the entrance of the hall and lost the courage to go inside. "I hope I don't get sanctioned for coming late." She muttered and summoned the courage to walk in.Elegantly, she walked into the hall with her heads on her shoulders. She got the stares and wows from almost everyone present, she knew her beauty was neck breaking but this

Ben sat down, excitement still written all over her face. Since the dinner last night she hasn't stop smiling."I thought I was joking too but I needed to do something, your neighbour I want to see her." Toba told Ben."What for?" Ben looked at him sceptically. "What do you want from her?""Hey, calm down. I just need her to bake a nice cake for a friend's wedding that's coming soon, so I thought it was better I see her in person. So, we can talk about the price and all." He knew she was still doubting, the look she was giving him gave her away."Ben, calm down." He pressed her shoulders. "I'm not doing anything inimical.""I trust you, I don't keep bad boys as friends thoug
