Monique wondered if Henry planned to punish her by locking her in this house.

“Well, aren’t you coming?” Henry turned around and called out.

Monique was off the hook?

She was delighted—a sincere smile graced her face. “Yes, immediately.”

Henry smirked at the woman’s enthusiasm and said, “Remember the keys.”

She went to grab the keys before following Henry out.

When they arrived at the Moore manor, Angel was already asleep. Monique went to clean herself and get ready for bed while Henry was busy in the study.

The situation was more peaceful than Monique expected. As she laid in bed, she wondered what Henry was doing in the study.

Despite her curiosity, she dared not take a glance.

She did not want to wake the sleeping giant.

Was he still mad at her for tipping over the chair?

Monique yawned a few times as she kept tossing and turning around in bed. Although she was tired, sleep remained elusive.

The emptiness of the bed was getting to her.

She cursed herself for missing the
