Darkness. Pitch darkness was all that Kane saw. As his almost lifeless body struggled to maintain its stance between reality and a totally different world he knew nothing about - most likely, ghost town, his forehead welcomed another bullet which shot right through his skull, maiming both hemispheres in his brain. "Shit, shit, shit!" Steven cussed thrice under his breath "Uh oh!" Alexandra mouthed as she got off Steven's laps "Speaking of the devil" She smirked "I was about to leave, you know. Tossing her bag angrily on the table, she sucked in a breath and flipped her hair backwards. "Are you just gonna stare at me or offer some explanation?!" A tear rolled down Alexandra's left cheek as she stared for the umpteenth time at the small white object in her hand. It was a thin white strip with two red vertical bars in it. That only meant one thing - she was pregnant. Another tear rolled down her cheek as she looked at the pregnancy kit once again. She didn't understand how she could have been so careless. Everything about the pregnancy had started when she, in her drunk state, had offered herself to Baron. From there, her boss, Mrs. Wong had called and she had gone to the office on a Saturday. There at the office, she and her colleagues had been assigned tasks and given deadlines to submit the task. The task had been so cumbersome and had taken so much of her time, so that most times she came home so tired and worn out and all she needed was rest and sleep. The door to Steven's office slid open and Vandana walked in. "Seems like someone is way too busy to even notice my presence" Vandana feigned annoyance, pouting her lips She dropped her bag on the table making its silver embellishments jiggle, causing Steven to finally raise his head. "Fuck!" Steven scratched his head with the pen he was holding before tossing it on the stack of papers in front of him "I didn't know you were coming, Dana" Steven breathed out, pulling his tie slightly down his neck "Yeah, right" Sarcasm laced Vandana's voice "I haven't heard from you for three days now, Steven" "And to think that I've placed a call through to you countless times without receiving any response" She said, gesticulating, before folding her arms "I'm so sorry, baby" Steven gave her the puppy dog eyes "Work here in the office has been choking life out of me" He sighed "And I'm wondering why you're not yet dead" She said, sitting on the table "Do you really wish me dead, Barbie?"

The sun rays which broke through the window, right through the shades, hit her eyes, causing her to squint. Her eyebrows furrowed as she scrunched her nose in discomfort. Alexandra's head felt heavy as she tried to lift her body off the bed. Falling back to the bed, she ran her hands slowly across her forehead. She was having a headache. Next, she tried moving her legs but couldn't feel them all of a sudden. She felt slightly sore in between her legs instead. As she yawned and stretched, the comforter fell off her body, making the cold air that blew gently wash over her skin. Feeling too exposed, her eyes dropped only to come in contact with her bare breasts. Quickly grabbing the comforter, she pulled it open only to realize that she was stark naked.
