I CAN'T RESIST YOU
I can't resist Maddox's invites to the man-made forest on our campus. Besides the fact that I love staying here, I don't want to disappoint him this time. I've seen his sad eyes early in the morning when I ask him to distance a little bit. That's not happening this afternoon.
The whole campus is at its finest after all the students have left the school. Only a few of us must still be here. The tweets of the bird and the noise of the twigs and leaves smashing the wind sound soothing. Students have been missing a lot by not staying in this place more often.
"You do love to be here, don't you?"
I take a deep breath of fresh air before I open my eyes and shift to Maddox. "I do, I really do. Thanks for bringing me here."

Almost 7 in the evening when I get to our apartment building. I wake up with my eyes a little heavy; I can feel it swells when I touch it with my fingertips. My sight lands on the white ceiling again; it's the only way I find peace, looking at the unknown and doing nothing. My back hurts a little when I get up, and I feel lazy. Lea ended up having her breakfast and lunch into one as we lost track of time until 1 in the afternoon. After what Lea saw on my phone, we agreed to thoroughly investigate what was happening between mom and dad and why they keep secrets from me. The anticipation of knowing the truth and the anxiousness are both killing me at the same time. I have never felt like this before. I'm only 17, and it seems to me that the world's weight is on my shoulder. "Alright, your mom has agreed, so you'll be sleeping with me tonight, and we can start with our investigation project tomorrow. How does it sound?" When Lea taps my shoulder after she gives mom a call about letting me stay for a night, I come to my senses. "Great. Thanks, Lea."

I don't have the strength to face mom after what I learned yesterday. All those things have not yet sunk in my system; everything happens so fast. My heart still aches after mom broke my trust, but the doubt that there must be something she's hiding is growing more and more. Mom is not the kind who hides things from me. Students gather in the gym to start with the sports week ceremony. Unlike our gym in my former school, the gym is not crowded, where we had to squeeze ourselves to get a spot on the audience. The junior-senior basketball game ends while I'm all eyes on Maddox having butterflies in my stomach. I do not doubt that they will win as I keep my trust in the junior team intact. "Angel, I have a little treat for you," Mad said, retrieving something from his bag. I raise an eyebrow, staying mute while watching Maddox. The anticipation is killing me when he refuses to show it up. "What?" I impatiently asked. "Close your eyes." "Nah, do I have to? It's just the two of us; I'm excited to see it," I complained. YOU ARE MY SUN LOVE AMIDTS DOUBTS AND FEARS
Lea calls me as she has promised. I pick up her call immediately as I sit in the lobby to prepare for a long talk with my best friend. As assured, I let her know immediately when Maddox and I become a couple. I texted her on our way home from school. I'm sure Lea will ask as many questions as she can, so I can't go home to avoid mom hearing our conversation."Hello, have you been busy?""Yeah, I just had to finish all my projects so that we could talk continuously. I'm so happy for you, Angel.""Thank you, I took your advice. You were right, after all, Maddox has nothing to do with our family affairs, and I don't want to hurt him because of my personal problem.
