Chapter 22 : The Perfume

The moon was bright, and its illumination of the trees in Vera's mansion orchard was fascinating. It sprayed a silver dust mist over the flowers in the small garden. And the city lights below produced a swarm of bright pearl beads. The cold wind had entered the room through the open window in the pink room where Angela stood motionless, looking down. "Esmeralda," Angela said softly. She had no idea she would end up in the dead girl's room until that moment. It did, however, excite her.
