Angela dashed into the living room to answer the phone. "Hello?" Leonardo was eating in the kitchen, waiting for Angela to return from answering the phone. "Hello, Miss Beautiful," Fredrick said on the other end of the line, and Angela wanted to return the phone to its cradle but knew it wasn't the right thing to do. "Hello, Fedrick," Angela said, "How may I assist you?" "Is Leonardo by your side?" he inquired. "No, he's eating in the kitchen, but he can hear me." "Give me the phone, Angela," Leonardo asked. Leonardo and Fredrick were talking about their upcoming art show when the conversation turned to Leonardo's decision to include their hand-painting and finger painting. "I wanted to marry you at any time," Fredrick had said automatically. "Oh really? Can we marry now? " Angela said it firmly. "That's impossible," Fredrick said, confused. "That's not what I wanted to hear from you, Fredrick," Angela said. "What I wanted to know is why you're marrying me." Fredrick was deafeningly quiet. He fixed his gaze on Angela. "Because I like women with your wit and calmness," he explained. "What you wanted was a TV anchorwoman or a TV broadcaster, not a wife," Angela stated flatly. Angela spent another sleepless night in the pink room after dinner at Red Elephant Restaurant. And Lara's enraged gaze that was fixed on her was troubling. Leonardo's decisions were centered on her, including his command. "Find Esmeralda's killers." Leonardo's voice was constantly reverberating in her head. And no matter how hard she tried to push it away to think about it later, it popped up now and then. So, at ten p.m., she decided to take a breather outside the house. It was a cold night outside in the swing. Angela, on the other hand, was unconcerned. She wished to wash away the events of the restaurant. Leonardo's disparaging remarks about Lara and Lara's uncontrollable sarcasm about her are a silent war for her against Lara. Angela could feel her adrenaline pumping. She couldn't wait to get her hands on Esmeralda's diary. Leonardo was correct; Esmeralda's diary would provide answers to all of their questions. She'd gone through every drawer and cupboard in the pink room, but the diary was nowhere to be found. She decided to visit the orchards after an hour of futile investigation. "Esmeralda, where did you put it?" She said quietly as the cold wind touched her cheek. She was standing beneath the fruitful trees, looking up at the pink room, with a portion of the window open. She was reminded of Lara's pale face as she gazed at Esmeralda's pink room. Was she capable of assassinating Esmeralda? Angela pondered. But the way she reacted to Esmeralda was both meek and fearful. Esmeralda frightened her. And Leonardo's conviction that Esmeralda had been murdered blew up everything, including her thoughts. The sound of the running water from the faucet filled the air late that night. Everyone was in their room as Angela washed her bleeding finger, cut by the razor-sharp knife she found in the cupboard drawer in the pink room. Angela wondered what that knife was doing in the drawer. Although it was only 4 inches long, its sharpness was capable of killing. What are you doing in the cupboard? Angela pondered. She then placed the knife on the table and stared at it for a while."Someone was keeping you inside the room for a purpose," Angela concluded. The art exhibit was attended by everyone in Vera Mansion. Mrs. Vera was in her golden yellow straight-cut gown. She looked stunning in it, even at her age. And Mrs. Gale was happy in her navy-blue dress. The atmosphere of the mansion was a bit gay. Leonardo was acting normal lately. Only Lara was bragging every day about Leonardo’s distance from her. It was already seven in the morning, and at ten o’clock was the event’s opening. Lara was on the phone with Fredrick, who was asking her to go ahead with the rest.
