My ass is too big. That was the first thought that came to my mind as I looked at myself through the mirror. This dress was doing little to conceal my curves and booty.
So before you ask why am I trying to hide my curves and what not's, why not show the world what my mama gave me right?
Well, the thing is I did, and to apparently my new boss and my mama left me so that's why I'm trying to hide all this baggage I'm naturally carrying.
"Honestly, Amelia, you look beautiful. Stop trying to hide all those wonderful attributes I wish I had," Aurora said as she laid on my bed playing with my shoes.
Aurora was my only friend, we were the same age, however, Aurora worked for my dad, well for the house in this case. She was and I really don't like using this term, the maid but more of my friend than the maid.
She was madly in love with Chris, who happened to be one of the guards at home and also sometimes, when needed be my personal bodyguard.
He was chilled, quiet, hardly smiles. Now Aurora was quite the opposite, she was all smiles, loud, always talking, extremely funny, she was a ray of sunshine that's why I think they would fit so well together, but they're both cowards.
"Aurora, why don't you tell Chris you like him?" I asked taking my shoes from her and sliding my feet in them, a whole day with these in...fuck!
"Amelia, why don't you tell Daniels you want to fuck him?" she mimicked my question and I stared at her with my mouth hanging open.
"Aurora, why don't you tell Chris you want to carry his babies?" I asked standing in front of her and she stood up towering over me with just a teeny tiny bit and smirked since I had to look up at her.
"Amelia, why don't you tell Daniels you're willing to be his fu-"
"If you finish that sentence, I will go to Chris and tell him about your dreams!" I threatened and she scowled crossing her arms over her chest. I was pleased with myself and I copied her actions smirking.
"You play unfair!" She said and I laughed fixing my hair. "Tie it up, you look prettier when it's tied up," she grumbled sitting down on the bed and staring at me.
I tied my hair up and I saw how right she was, she's always right, all the time.
"What time is it?" I asked her pulling my dress down again, it keeps riding up and I don't like that.
"Uhm, it's time for you to go to work if you don't want to be fired on your first day!" she exclaimed getting off my bed and pushing me out of my bedroom down the stairs and into the car where Chris stood, oh this ought to be interesting. "H-hi Chris."
She stuttered and I giggled as I watched her look everywhere except for Chris' eyes.
"Miss Aurora, you look pretty today," Chris said and I cocked my head...pretty Chris? You're just like Aurora...but that's cute.
"Oh no, in this maid outfit? I think I look pretty standard," she said as she patted down her uniform and I scowled and facepalmed myself.
Firstly, Aurora is gorgeous! She's mixed Italian and Spanish and black, don't ask me how but that's what she told me. She had the prettiest grey eyes I had ever seen, her black hair was super long and silky and I always made it a point to play with it whenever I had the chance to. She had an amazing body that was hidden under that ugly rag of clothing dad makes them wear.
Secondly, Chris was obviously complimenting her and she didn't pick it up...at all. I guess I will just have to talk to her after I get back home from work.
Chris had entered the car a long time ago and was headed in the direction of wherever Daniels building was.
"Hey Chris," I whispered moving forward to look at him.
"Yes, Ms Adams?"
"It's Amelia, anyway, why don't you ask Aurora out on a date?" I asked in a suggestive manner and I saw his lips twitch at the mention of Aurora or date, hopefully, both.
"I don't think that would be appropriate, Ms Adams," he said still staring ahead at the road and I rolled my eyes.
"Amelia," I corrected again. "I think it would be appropriate seeing that you like her and she likes you so why not?" I carried on suggesting and he sighed still concentrating on the task, driving me to work, which I must be extremely late for.
"What makes you think she likes me?" he asked and I grinned leaning back on my seat.
"That you will have to ask her when you go out on a date," I said and he chuckled, soon I felt the car slow down and I looked outside the window, my eyes staring at one of the hugest buildings ever. Chris opened the door for me and I got out of the car pulling my dress down.
"Have a great day, Ms Adams," Chris said as he closed the door and waited for me to enter the building.
"Amelia!" I stressed again and he smirked nodding, I entered the building and looked around, damn this was a really big place.
Glass everywhere, some floors were glass on the higher levels and I could feel my anxiety kick in, I'm not a fan of heights. I walked towards the receptionist and waited for her to finish talking over the phone.
"Good morning and welcome to Daniels Co. May I help you?" she said all professionally with a smile on her face. She had green eyes that gave you the wish effect, her brown hair tied in a tight bun and her lips painted in red, she was beautiful.
"Hi, uhm JJ, I mean Mr Daniels gave me a job and I don't know where exactly I should go," I said and she cocked her head to the side. "My name's Amelia Adams," I quickly rushed in and she nodded.
"How did he offer you the job?" she asked me as she picked up her phone.
"Oh, he came over to our house, had a meeting with dad, and then out of nowhere he walked up to me and said 'you work for me now'," I imitated him and she blinked her eyes staring at me as if I was crazy. "Call him please," I squeaked out.
She spoke into the phone and I looked around the building ignoring her states, she was weird.
"Ms Adams," she called my name and I turned around and she smiled. "Please proceed to the third elevator on your right, press the twentieth floor and somebody will be there to help you when you get off."
"Okay, thank you, Miss..." I didn't even get her name but I followed her instructions. The elevator dinged and I stepped out waiting almost bumping into a body.
I looked up at him and noticed he was a very attractive man, his blonde hair tied into a bun at the back of his head, and his blue eyes staring at me with the same interest.
"Oh what a beautiful piece you are."
"Sorry?" I found my voice and he smiled extending his hand.
"Jack," he said showing me his perfect white teeth.
"Amelia," I answered and he cocked his head to the side as if he was trying to remember something. "Uhm, can you point me to Mr Daniels office?" I asked and he smiled nodding.
"The devil's den is right over there," he pointed to the office at the far end of the room. "Good luck in there."
I nodded and walked down to his office but I couldn't understand why he called it the devil's den. I knocked twice before a rough voice told me to come in.
"You're late."
Two years after giving birth to Adrian, Jason and I were finally getting married...with more people around this time. During those two years, it definitely wasn't easy, we had just welcomed our newborn baby, the merger of the company was taking place and we were getting used to our two different families who weren't so different. Jason's side of the family was amazing, they were supportive and always wanted us to visit them with their favourite grandson, my side of the family was just as amazing, always present and helpful in raising Adrian. It wasn't easy at first after giving birth, there were many sleepless nights, debates on who's changing the diaper, or who's turn it was to stay up all night. I was the one who always stayed up all night and I wouldn't have it any other way.
I was a sweating mess. My hair was sticking onto my face, the light cloth that covered my body stuck onto me like a second skin, I smelt bad, just like sweat and I felt horrible. Screaming out for the umpteenth time today, feeling the excruciating labour pain kick me again and each time worse than before, I looked over at my husband whose face was scrunched up in pain as I squeezed his hand...if I was feeling this, he had to feel it too. Even though his wasn't anything measured up to mine. "Baby, breathe," he said, noticing my glare and doing those ridiculous breathing exercises. Deep breaths in and deep breaths out, it didn't work! And it didn't help with getting this baby out of me, on five centimetres dilated, half through getting his baby out of me. I think I should have been more clear when I said hous
"Okay, so how about, Jasper?" I asked suggestively as I laid on Jason's chest playing with the light stubble on his chin. "What does it mean?" he asked as he turned another page in the book he was reading, he looked so sexy with his glasses on, chewing on his bottom lip as he concentrated on his book and tried to give me attention as well. "Bringer of treasure, plus it's a fiery red gem that symbolises courage, endurance, and health," I explained to him watching his eyes stray from his book over to me. I still can't describe the feeling those eyes give me whenever they meet mine. "I like it," he said and his eyes roamed all over my face. "But I also like Declan," he said and my face scrunched up. "No, I don't like it," I said and he laughed while cl
"Happy birthday to you," I sang to Jason as I sat on top of him, waking him up I pushed the cupcake with the cliché one candle on it towards him. He gave me a boyish grin and pushed his hair back before sitting up straight. "Baby," he groaned, still smiling and I carried on singing, each note getting higher and higher as I jumped up and down softly. "Make a wish!" I exclaimed excitedly and he blew the candle out. Taking out the candle from the cake, I grabbed the cupcake and took a huge bite out of it. He stared at me shocked and I shrugged giggling. "I thought that was mine!" "The candle was yours," I said, still laughing, finishing off the cupcake he pouted and shook his head. "And this is delicious," I moaned with my mouthful of his cake.
I walked into Rick's and Kiara's house feeling extremely nervous and I was just about ready to vomit all of my anxiety out, but I was willing to stay strong, for my new family I had to stay strong. Where there's a will, there's a way. I cringed at my corny thought but it was a truthful thought that I'm not about to repeat! And of course, there is never a time I enter madam's house and she's not there, I wonder what it will be today. "Hey there, Ms CEO!" She chirped, waving her hands showing me she had just changed her nails, to a mustard colour and they were coffin-shaped, they weren't bad at all but for her skin colour, they didn't really compliment her pretty fingers, she did have pretty fingers. "Hey Kiara, how are you doing?" I asked clutchin
"Amelia Adams, will you do me the honours of becoming my wife, Mrs Daniels?" I stared at Jason feeling many emotions pass through me. Excitement and joy because I was really happy he proposed to me, I never thought the day would come but it's finally here! Confusion because I never really thought the day would be here. I stared into his eyes as the hopefulness turned into worry, was he worried about what my response would be? I swear when I woke up today I didn't think it would be filled with double exciting news despite the current circumstances which by the way were about to change. "Amelia?" he choked out standing up and I realized I hadn't answered him yet. "Get back on your knee!" I quickly said, pushing him back down and nodding my head rapidly. "Yes, I'd love
