"The Jing family might not welcome a daughter-in-law like me!"

This thought suddenly occurred to her. She stopped in her tracks just before they reached the front door. Jing Liyuan stopped as well and turned to face her.

Yin Xiaoxiao's heart raced wildly. She didn't dare to step across the threshold!

This was the prominent Jing family of T City! The Jing conglomerate that spanned across multiple industries! She had never expected Jing Liyuan to be part of the famous Jing family and this was why she had dared to get hitched so suddenly. She hadn't known that the third young master of the Jing family was a surgeon! How could she even think of using him to get her family off her back?

Jing Liyuan's eyes narrowed slightly. He was extremely smart so he immediately guessed what she was thinking.

He stepped forward and as she tried to pull away from him, his grip on her hand tightened. He held her hand so tightly that it hurt a little, and she looked up at him with a frown.

"Yin Xiaoxiao, you've already agreed to marry me, do you think there is any room for regret?" he asked coldly and there was a hint of anger in his voice. Yin Xiaoxiao looked at him a little warily. This was the first time she had seen him get mad.

Her heart skipped a beat when she saw the resolute look in his eyes.

"Yin Xiaoxiao, you became mine the moment you said you didn't regret it," he said.

Her breathing was a little irregular as she stared into his eyes.

Now that she was his woman, he would never give her the opportunity to escape!

Jing Liyuan looked steadily at Yin Xiaoxiao. His grip on her hand was strong but tender and he led her up the stairs that led to the main door of the Jing family's house.

He felt her fingers curling over his hand as they reached the door, so he turned to look at her. Yin Xiaoxiao's gaze wasn't on him. She was staring straight ahead and taking a deep breath.

The Jing family had always terrified her. What kind of family would be able to remain this prominent for centuries? Even the country hadn't been able to remain this prosperous for centuries! No one would believe her if she said that the Jing family was not a shrewd family.

Jing Liyuan patiently waited for Yin Xiaoxiao to mentally prepare herself. He knew that she was willing to accept the fact that he was part of the Jing family and accept him as her husband, so his eyes flickered with emotion. This was the first time that someone had been willing to indulge in his spontaneity, and he realized that it was pretty nice after all!

Yin Xiaoxiao felt as though she had walked into a castle when the doors swung open. The man beside her boldly led her forward into his world and prevented her from leaving!

"Old Madame, the third young master has brought his wife home!"

She immediately tensed when she heard an energetic voice ask in response, "Have they arrived? Where are they? Where are they?"
