"I'm so embarrassed", Sky covered her face with her little hands while Elliot was climbing the stairs holding her in his arms.

"Why though?", He asked casually.

"What would she think of us", Sky wanted to hid in a hole.

"She'd think we make a good couple", Elliot said with a warm smile.

"Elliot", Sky gave him an angry look.

"Alright, I'd behave next", Elliot said obediently and put her on her bed.

"I want to go to college tomorrow", Sky said slowly.

"No", Elliot said sternly, giving her no room for discussion.

"But I'd be left behind", Sky was really worried as she's only been to the college for a day.

"You won't", Elliot held her hand tightly.

"Everyone knows you're a genius, so you don't have to worry", Elliot said reassuringly.

"But I really want to go", Sky said with a pitiful look.

Elliot couldn't handle it anymore.

"Wait for 2 more days atleast", Elliot gave up.

"Promise?", Sky asked happily.

"Yeah, promise", He held her pinky finger with his finger.

"Do you want something?", Elliot asked while pinching her adorable cheeks.

"Chocolate", Sky said instantly.

Elliot chuckled.

"Alright, I have to go to work. I'll bring your favourite chocolates on my way back", Elliot kissed her forehead and covered her with the blanket.

"I'll wait for you", Sky said with a sweet voice.

Elliot was in a trance for a second. He quickly gained his focus back.

'Wait Elliot, only 2 years are left', he thought to himself.

"I'll try to come back early", Elliot left after giving her another kiss on the cheek.

"Well, looks like he's really into you", Norah entered her room as soon as Elliot left.

"Were you spying on us?", Sky asked with displeasure.

"No, no. Why would I?", Norah said hurriedly.

"I guessed it by the way he looks at you and treats you", she tried to cover her lie.

Sky smiled.

'Yeah, he really treats me the best', she thought to herself.

"What happened to your legs by the way?", Norah pretended to be concerned about her.

"Oh, nothing important", Sky didn't want to start a conversation with her as she didn't like her vibe at all.

"Well, I want to ask you something, if you don't mind", Norah said.

"Yes, go ahead", Sky said casually.

"I have heard about your parents. Sorry for your loss but why are you staying with Aunt Emily since you're not even related by blood?", Norah asked with a smile trying to cover her disdain.

"Aren't you 18 years old already? Won't you leave this house? Or you gonna stay here forever?", she asked with a visible disgust in her eyes.

Sky was startled.

'I'm 18, should I leave this house?'

'Isn't it my home?'

Her heart ached at the thought of it.

It took her a while to reply.

"Actually I'm Elliot's fiancee so Aunt won't let me go even though I'm 18", Sky tried to look calm.

"Oh, poor aunt", Norah sighed.

"I've heard that she's very sympathetic towards you. She let you stay in her house and even made you his only brilliant son's fiancee. She's such a good woman", Norah tried to poison her mind.

"Aunt loves me alot, that's why she took me here when I was orphaned", Sky said calmly.

"It was not my aunt who asked Elliot to accept me, it was Elliot's own wish", Sky could feel the colours drowning from Norah's face.

"Elliot loves me the most", Sky said proudly.

Norah gritted her teeth. She couldn't succeed in her plan.

"How could you say it's love? Maybe it's sympathy or pity which he feels for that young orphaned girl", Norah didn't give up.

Sky's heart skipped a beat.

"Is it really love or sympathy which he feels for me?", she thought to herself.

Her heart ached.

"I'm sleepy, could you please close the door while leaving?", Sky turned her back towards Norah, trying to hide her tears.

"Yeah, sure", Norah said with a wide smile.

Finally she succeeded in her plan.

"You're brave Sky. If I were you, I'd have left this house long ago", Norah said sarcastically.

"Sleep tight", She said and left the room.

Sky couldn't get up for a long time. She tried to hold back her tears but they still fell out.

This.... This was her biggest fear.

Having no home and having no love.

"Is he really in love with me?", her heart ached just by thinking this.

"Should I leave this house? I'm sure I'm not a burden on Aunt but haven't I stayed here for so long? I'm 18 now. I should have left this place long ago. Norah was right", she thought to herself.

"But where will I go?", her eyes were full of tears.

"What did I do wrong to deserve this?", she cried her eyes out.

This was her biggest nightmare.

"Why God made me an orphan? Why couldn't I live with my parents like others? Why do I always have to worry about my home?? About a place to stay? Without a fear of getting kicked out of it?", she cried loudly.

She always had this nightmare that one day Aunt Emily and Elliot would be fed up of her and will throw her out of their house.

Where would she go then? She had no one to rely on.

She had no place to call home.

"I should start preparing something in advance in case if I ever get kicked out of this house", Sky smiled self deprecatingly.

"There's really a fine line between love and sympathy. How naive of you Sky, you never understood the difference", she sighed.

She called Lily after crying her heart out.

"Hey Lily! It's me, Sky", Sky tried to sound cool.

"Sky! What's up!", Lily asked excitedly.

"How are you now? What about your legs?", Lily got nervous remembering that incident.

"I'm good. I can walk a bit now. I'd be able to come to college after 2 days", Sky said suppressing her emotions.

"Lily I want to ask you for something", Sky said biting her lips.

"Yeah sure, go ahead", Lily said leisurely.

"Do you remember? You once told me about an international scholarship?", Sky asked slowly.

"Yeah, I remember", Lily said.

"Could you explain me it's procedure?", Sky asked with a low voice.

"Yes, I will", Lily said enthusiastically.

"But why would you need it? Aren't you staying with your family anyway? Won't you continue your studies here?", Lily was confused.

'Family?', Sky felt like someone stabbed her heart. 'Yes, they are my family but do they really consider me as a part of them?', she thought she could never find it out.

"I want to study abroad. I want a change", Sky tried to remain as calm as possible.

"Oh, I see", Lily said lazily.

"I'll send you the details. You scored pretty well before so it would be really easy for you to avail this opportunity", Lily was genuinely happy for her bestfriend.

"Lily, don't tell anyone about it just yet", Sky urged her to keep this matter to herself.

"Not even Elliot", she added.

"Ofcourse, I won't", Lily promised her.

"Alright, see you in the college. Take care", Sky hung up.

Her phone blinked after a short while.

Lily has sent her the whole information and procedure regarding the scholarship.

Sky took her laptop and started applying for it.

She was so engrossed in her work that she didn't even realise someone knocked on her door.

She closed her laptop immediately and looked at the person coming in.
