"What are you doing Sky?", Emily asked entering her room with a bowl of soup.

"Nothing much", Sky tried to act calm, "Lily told me about an assignment given by Ms. Camila. I was searching material for it", she added.

"Stop your work for some time and drink this soup while it's still hot", Emily picked up her laptop and placed the soup bowl infront of her.

"Finish it immediately, I'll come back in 10 minutes", Emily said and left the room.

Sky took a sigh of relief. She immediately picked up her laptop and opened the application form again. She filled it hurriedly and submitted before Emily came back.

Emily returned after 10 minutes. Sky has finished the soup and was lying down staring at the ceiling.

"What's wrong dear?", Emily asked with concern.

"Nothing", Sky said light, "I was just missing my mom", she said slowly.

Emily felt her nose getting sour.

"She was a great woman. A very kind and affectionate one", Emily said longingly.

"What about my dad?", Sky asked still staring deeply at the ceiling.

"He was a true gentleman. He left everything just to marry the love of his life", Emily said with admiration.

"Why didn't my grandparents allow him to marry my mom?", Sky asked curiously as Emily has always avoided this topic.

"Leave it Sky", Emily said and stood up.

"Lets go out, the whether is very pleasant today", Emily helped Sky to stand up and took her to the balcony.

"Wait, let me bring a shawl for you", Emily said as the weather was relatively cold.

"Ok", Sky said lightly.

Sky closed her eyes after Emily left.

She liked to feel the cool breeze touching her face. It was very similar to the coldness she felt in her heart at times.

She was indulged in her thoughts when someone placed a shawl on her shoulders and hugged her from behind.

She could recognize him by his scent.

"What are you doing here?", Elliot asked while holding her hands which were ice cold.

"Nothing", Sky said with closed eyes.

"Tell me, what's the matter? Did someone bully you?", Elliot asked slowly in her ear.

Sky's heart skipped a beat.

"No, no one bullied me", she said hurriedly.

"Elliot, I want to ask you a question", Sky said.

"Go ahead", Elliot said while rubbing her cold hands with his warm ones.

"Do you...", Sky hesitated to ask this question. She was afraid to hear the answer.

"Say it", Elliot hugged her tightly to encourage her to speak.

"Do you love me?", Sky asked in a low voice.

Elliot didn't answer for a while.

Sky's heart was beating so fast that she could feel the palpitation all over herself.

"Do not listen to what other people say", Elliot said gently.

"No one should be able to poison your mind with their vicious words", he added.

Sky was stunned, she turned abruptly and looked at Elliot who was looking at her seriously.

"How do you know someone said something to me?", Sky asked with astonishment.

"How many times do I have to tell you that I know you the most?", Elliot said while holding her hands again.

"I could even see through you", he said calmly.

Sky was stunned again. She hurriedly covered herself with the shawl.

Elliot slapped his head.

"I mean, I could see through your thoughts", Elliot said with a chuckle.

"Oh", Sky turned red within seconds.

"What were you thinking? You naughty girl", Elliot teased her.

"Nothing", Sky said and was about to run when Elliot hugged her again from behind.

He could feel her heart beating wildly.

"Calm down", Elliot said slowly in her ear.

Sky took a deep breath which calmed her a bit.

"Look at the sky, Isn't it beautiful?", Elliot whispered in her ear.

Sky looked at the wide sky infront of her and was mesmerized for a moment.

"You're even more beautiful", Elliot whispered again.

Sky's heart felt a tickle.

"I love you Sky. You're the most beautiful thing that has ever happened to me.", Elliot whispered in her ear again.

Sky was about to move when she heard his words. She was stunned. Her heart started beating violently again.

She could feel the butterflies in her stomach but she didn't have the courage to face him right now.

"Sky, do you want some hot chocolate?", Emily came just in time with a shawl in her hand.

Sky immediately escaped from Elliot's embrace.

"Yes sure Aunt", she said and ran towards her aunt.

"What happened? Why are you so hot?", Emily asked with concern while touching her cheeks which were brightly red.

"I guess I caught cold", Sky was embarrassed.

"Oh my poor baby. Come with me, let me make you a delicious hot chocolate.", Emily said and took Sky with her.

Elliot smiled at them and went to his study room to attended an online conference.

No one noticed that a pair of evil eyes was staring at the scene behind their back.

Norah gritted her teeth in jealousy after witnessing the whole scene.

"I need to plan something fast or I wouldn't be able to achieve what I came for", she said to herself.

Elliot finished his meeting soon and joined Sky and Emily in the dinning room.

Emily prepared a hot chocolate for Elliot too.

Sky and Elliot were enjoying it when Norah came unannounced.

"What are you guys drinking?", she asked excitedly.

"Can I have some too?", Norah asked looking at Emily.

"Yes sure", Emily made a cup for her.

"Elliot, why did you come back so early?", Norah tried to initiate a conversation with him.

"Do I need to report you everything?" Elliot asked with a cold expression.

Norah was stunned. That's not the Elliot whom she saw in the balcony with Sky. He was so warm and so loving towards Sky but so cold to her.

She gritted her teeth but ignored the insult.

"No, I was just asking casually", she tried to sound pitiful.

"Well, It would be good for you if you stop interfering in things which you shouldn't", Elliot said without any expression and looked at Sky.

"Lets go to study room", Elliot said and took Sky with him.

Norah looked at Emily with a wronged expression.

"Don't mind sweety", Emily didn't know how to comfort her so she told her the truth.

"Elliot doesn't like getting involved with new people. He only likes to be with Sky", Emily told her directly.

"Oh, I see", Norah said feeling extremely jealous.

She had already made a plan to separate them. She couldn't wait to act on it but was held back by her mother who was waiting for the right time.

She angrily looked in the direction where Sky and Elliot left.
