Perfect chaos (2)

GIA'S POV.

He had his back towards me, his tensed shoulders visible with the singlet he wore, his hand gripping the phone as he gritted into it, and he grabbed the chair before him.

"No," I could sense his irritation, "I thought we agreed on keeping things clear; what the fuck do you want now?"

When he had that tone on, it worried me, for slowly, he began to withdraw into himself, and it took a ton to get him out. Whatever it was that was behind that phone had a hold on him.

Most of what was said lacked content; they repeated the exact words, and this was the third time he picked up the phone.

I encircled my hand around his waist, placing my cheek on his back, sighing when I felt him loosen up; sometimes, this was the only comfort he needed.

He slammed the phone back on its hold, glaring down at it, but soon it was ringing again.

I held his palm before he grabbed it, and he looked into my face.

I raised a brow, "who's that?"
